During our month visit we ate at this restaurant several times and enjoyed the different dishes we tried. Really liked the char grilled Oysters.

This is a family friendly restaurant located near Lake Ponchartrain. The food is awesome. I think their char grilled oysters are the best of all offered in the city. The fried catfish is real and not the Swai cat fish that a lot of restaurant have been passing off as catfish. The food prices are reasonable and the portions are... More

I've been going here for years and the food is always great. The seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly. As the signs say, there may be a wait because they cook to order, but it is worth a bit of patience! Reservations are NOT accepted, but there is a bar so you can get a beverage while you wait. I... great food: gumbo, fried softshell crab, oyster poboys, service a little spotty but the place was jam packed! to be expected for the first Friday lunch of lent. parking a bit of a challenge, had to wait about 25 minutes for a table and we got there at 11:30 am for lunch. but if you're not in a hurry and... New Orleans Food and Spirits offers a wide array of New Orleans food, highlighting fish dishes. Don't miss the Corn and Crawfish Soup, which is a great addition to any meal. Like many New Orleans eateries, it's a little loud and there is usually a wait during lunch and dinner rush hours, but it's good food.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at New Orleans Food and Spirits. The fried onion rings and gumbo were delicious. We both had enough left over from our entree for our supper. Next visit we will try Voodoo rolls and split our lunch. YUM, can't wait!

Went on Mardi Gras Saturday and waited about 45 mins for a party of 4. After ordering, took about another 45 mins for food to arrive, but they were busy and seemed short on staff. The voodoo rolls were excellent. The hush puppies were average. I had the fried catfish and shrimp entree. The food was excellent, definitely would recommend... More

Best fried oysters! Fantastic grilled oysters! Average potato salad, fries, and service. No complaints.

Nothing special. If this is rated excellent, then you all need to get out more! :-) $190 for 9 people for fried food for lunch? Really? And off the beaten path too. Gumbo was good. Voodoo rolls... I'll pass. Maybe fresh ingredients would make it better...
