My wife had been craving a good shrimp po-boy for a couple of weeks. While we were in Metairie we went to this restaurant, it was pretty busy but we were seated quickly and in less than 2 minutes our waitress was taking our order. She ordered her shrimp po-boy and I ordered the oyster po-boy. While waiting I looked... More

Every time I visit the New Orleans area, I go to New Orleans Food and Spirits (actually my first stop before I check into the hotel). I have the phone number stored in my phone - that's how addicted I am. I have also introduced several of my friends to the restaurant. You have to try the Voodoo Crawfish Rolls... More

Seafood platter is amazing. Got this to go and only took 20 minutes. Perect flavor and seasoned to perfection. Awesome New Orleans style food.

Why do I say this? Well, it must be one or both reasons: They change their frying oil often enough and/or they only fry the shrimp in the "shrimp oil". No matter what location you visit, their seafood does not have a generic seafood flavor. In other words, the shrimp taste like the shrimp they are not like the catfish... More

Went there Friday night. Only about a 15minute wait. Ordered spinach artichoke dip- came out quickly. Very bland. No seasoning flare whatsoever. Avoid. We ordered house salads with blue cheese dressing-great dressing chunked full of blue cheese. I ordered the blackened catfish on top of angel hair-disappointed. The angel hair had no seasoning just fettucini alfredo sauce-which makes me think... More

I've been to this restaurant many times and every time we come to town we can't wait to get to this place. The gumbo is great! The best char grilled oysters in town. All of the pasta dishes are always a winner. The shrimp is tender and delicious. Daily specials are amazing and the portions are big enough to take... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant looking for a different restaurant which happened to be closed on Mondays. We had chargrilled oysters for an appetizer, my daughter had stuffed eggplant and the rest of my family had angel hair pasta with a cream sauce and shrimp with a large soft shell crab placed atop our plate (I don't remember the name... Bergeron's New Orleans Food and Spirits is a fantastic place for a great meal and atmosphere. Everything on the menu is fantastic!! A personal favorite of mine is the Paneed Chicken. Its a fabulous dish. Just everything about the place smacks of great New Orleans food in the heart of Metairie!!!

It's really difficult to find bad food in New Orleans, but this is really good food. Mostly, it's fried food and mostly breaded and fried. It's not the place to go if you're on a diet. The portions are huge, the price is good and the food is excellent. There's not really much atmosphere, but it is a fun atmosphere.... More

Best seafood gumbo in town. The food is great across the board but the fried shrimp is one of my favorites. The staff is always courteous and friendly.
