Had a late brunch here - travel all over - and this place is awesome ! Beautiful old house near lake . Quaint decor - love the separate little rooms ! GREAT coffee, had an omelette and fruit plate - could have fed a family of 4 !! Took plenty home - all was hot , fresh and delicious. Service... More

Was looking forward to returning to an old favourite but now have to strike LaLou off our list of must visit stops. Reception is a bit slow but it gave us time to stand around at the entrance and ready the menu over a few times. Pleasant greeting and quickly seated at an unspectacular location even though there were many... More

Stopped in for the first time since name change. Omelets are always great. Careful if you order a cheese omelet, your cardiologist might not approve. Portions are large and service is excellent. I love the old cottage atmosphere.

My wife and I went for breakfast Christmas morning 2015. We ordered 2 Cinnamon rolls and 2 coffee. Beside the slow service (which I don’t really care of) the cinnamon rolls were super dry, super-hot (It felt like they were old and put into the oven to make them fresh again), and the icing was horrible. The cinnamon rolls came... More

Thank you for your review. I am curious as to what day you and your wife visited LaLou? We were not open on Christmas morning, so I hope to get some direction from you as to what day you visited and who was your waiter. Our wait staff is responsible for preparation and rotation of the cinnamon rolls. Thank you... More

Go hungry. the food portions are large and well prepared.. the breakfast nachos are really good. my wife had her biscuits and eggs and they were made big and tasty. my daughter and her husband went back 2 days later because they were impressed. we had 6 people there and every dish was good. used to be "broken egg café'... First time at LaLou and we thoroughly enjoyed. I had the really big and really sweet brioche French toast with berries and whipped cream. My wife had the Mandeville omelette with crab. Both were excellent. The food took a while to come out. But was obviously fresh and hot. Definitely worth trying.

Located in a precious little house one block off the lake, this little gem is a treat! Both breakfast and lunch fare is reasonable and exquisite! All of the specialty omelets are to die for with fresh ingredients and unique ingredients like crawfish and crab meat. Breakfast doesn't have to be boring or just in the morning. Bottomless coffe and... More

Wow - what a breakfast awaits you at Another Broken Egg Café!!! Ambiance - in an "old town" house not far from the lake, a bit noisy, but that's because everyone has something to say. Good selection of quality breakfast items - multiple types of omelets. Delicious and plentiful - you'll probably take some home with you. Service is great.... More

Food and service were both poor. AC was broken. Not what it used to be. Wait staff would not seat my family until I got inside from parking the car. Order was wrong. We will not go back.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. We haven't had any AC issues all summer, so I'm not sure why you would make that comment. All three units have been functioning perfectly during even the hottest months. As a policy, we do not seat any party until everyone is in the building. This prevents partial parties from holding tables while... More
