Oysters on the half shell were very fresh. I had the oysters bayou teche as my entree, they were my favorite oyster dish in a long while. Oysters Lightly fried, with lump crab meat on top, and butter , served with a twice baked potato. Delicious. The service was very good.. Thank you Blake! All of our meals were really... More

If you want a nice place on the lakefront to get seafood and drinks at affordable prices, this is your place. The food is tasty (especially the desserts) and the drinks are generous.

Rip's is always first to mind as a great place to eat on a beautiful day. Such was the case on a recent beautiful Sunday afternoon. Rips does a very good job with fried seafood, a good appetizer menu and a few good specials. Nothing overly creative or exceptional but a good reliable place with an exceptional view of Lake... Great bar, awesome location and great local food fare. We love this place as an outside dining experience, and you can walk off the shrimp and grits afterwards with a stroll on the lakefront.

Visited Rip's for sunset cocktails and appetizers with family. Enjoying the upper deck at sunset was fun!

I definitely enjoyed the food here! Everything is scrumptious from the appetizer to the entree'! The added benefit to eating here is the beautiful view of the lake if you eat on the patio! The food portion is plenteous and you will not regret dining here!

Rip's was delicious. first of all it was packed and we were concerned, but we had reservations, and they seated us quickly. Most of been homecoming or something but DANA took the best care of us. She was very over worked but she did not show it served us promptly and graciously, and food was delicious. Try this place out.

We keep going here only because family in the area keeps taking us here when we visit. Not impressed with the food quality. Fried seafood platter too salty. The soft shell crab seemed a bit old, odd, not tasty. Oysters small and not all that fresh. The Oysters Bayou Teche, allegedly the "best thing on the menu," was not the... More

Had lunch there recently and was quite disappointed. Service was slow despite being there at tail end of lunch hour. Turtle soup was least favorite of any we have tried in Louisiana; "weak" and decidedly lacking in taste. Crab cakes were tasty but mostly filler. Spinach salad with strawberries would have been very good but was overwhelmed by too much... More
