My husband and I took a little detour to try their oysters and it was well worth it. They do not skimp on garlic at this place, nor can they be accused of small portion sizes. Very nice place.

My sister-in-law challenged me to eat at a 3-D place on our trip so I chose this place. We were there for a late lunch (around 3) and the place was about empty. The waitress was very friendly and helpful to a couple of Minnesotans very unfamiliar with local foods. She explained the dishes very well and gave us a... More

Reasonable price. French bread was crisp and the seafood was fried great. Get extra tartar sauce. A little hard to get too, but worth it.

Nothing special about this place. Guy should have passed this stop up. Many many other places he could have visited! And the new location was a bad idea.

We visited Louie & Redhead Lady last night 1/17/14 for my birthday. We had been to old location several times. This was our first time at the new location. Our service was terrible!!! The hostess and waitress were both very sweet. But the service was awful and unacceptable! To begin with, they brought me wrong wine. I ordered Pinot Grigior,... More

Saw this place on Triple D and it was a waste of time and money. There food is not good and service is average. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make it into 2014.

We loved Louie's before it got famous (Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) and moved to a bigger location last summer. We were concerned that the quality would not be as good, but need not have worried. It's still fabulous! Mostly. The fried shrimp was excellently prepared, lightly breaded and delicately fried, not cremated. The eggplant was out of this world! The... More

We visited on Sat. Oct 5, 2013. I had read some of the other reviews about wait times and had decided to take our chances, since most of the reviews were good. We were meeting friends from Texas who had been there before and enjoyed it. The location has changed since their first visit, but it's for the better according... More

I ate several meals at the old location when I was in the area for 10 days in 2012 and the only complaint that I could have had was that there wasn't enough, but would have to admit to a high-level of gluttony, were I to say this. Quite simply, the food is exquisite at Louie and the Redhead Lady.... More

On a recent Nursing Conference trip in NOLA, my friend and I decided to drive across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway to try "Louis and the Red-Head Lady" restaurant. Guy must have visited on a GOOD day...we did NOT!! My fried green tomatoes were soggy and greasy. Her eggplant was much the same. Service was slow, and there were only a... More
