This place used to be good. But the only reason to go was the waitress Liz. Then Liz left and opened Liz's Where Y'At (GO THERE INSTEAD!!!) All of the customers followed Liz and there are plenty of reasons why. Louie's is dingy, dirty, expensive, and bad food. The food is terrible and Louie is not the nicest person. He's... More

My credit card number was stolen there and used online! Not a very good experience in that department. My family loves the atmosphere and food. I am not judging the restaurant based on the caliber of the thief that stole the cc number. It could have happened any where.

Good food and casual atmosphere. Not for date night, but more for family fun. What we lovingly call a hole in the wall.

Okay, I guess I will start at the beginning. We arrived there after the place being recommended by a family friend, around 10:30 am. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we had to wait another 20 minutes or so for our waiter to take our drink orders. We all ordered coffee and were informed... More

Oysters La Luzianne appetizers that were scrumptious and we highly recommend both even though both rival the cost of an entree. Thereafter, we had a catfish poor boy and a shrimp poor boy. The catfish poor boy was to die for. Never has catfish been so fresh-tasting, clean, unfishy and heaped into fresh, perfectly soft & crusty warm bread. I... More

Food was ok! Nothing special. Service was ok. Saw on Triple D and expected more. Plenty of other choices out there.

This restaurant was featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-in's and Dives for a very good reason: the food is great! I had two meals here, a lunch and breakfast. The lunch was their Fried green tomatoes topped with boiled shrimp and remoulade sauce. Although the tomatoes were not as green as I would have liked them, it was tasty... More

Well worth the wait, love this place. Very affordable, very good. Try the fried oysters. Or shrimp. I would recommend to anyone.

I love deep fried foods....just not when it's over 90% of the choices I have....Not impressive at all...service blah...you are just another table to serve and turn over....wondering how they got so popular...surrounded by little dinky things either handmade or from a jewelry show with Minnie Pearl pricetags on them...No thanks, never again....

There have been various versions of this restaurant over the years, some good, some bad. I can remember having a very tasty seafood platter there about 22 years ago. The current iteration is beyond horrible. The food is, well, I can only say NASTY! The service is poor beyond belief. I was told that this pit was featured on some... More
