Thank you reviewers for this find

I love these kinds of places, if they are good and this one is. You choose from the chalkboard. I had the roast beef and my wife had ham. Both came with rice and gravy, corn, blackeyed peas, and rolls. We cleaned our plates. This place must known for their pies and they looked delicious, so... read more

I've been a fan of Lea's since I was a very young child. We always stopped at Lea's on our way to Baton Rouge to visit relatives or for the LSU games. My husband and I have had the pleasure of watching our kids discover this charming little cafe. Now our grandchildren are discovering it. I remember when Mr. and... More

Having visited Lea's numerous times over the years; it hurts a little to write this review. I stopped in for lunch with my boyfriend yesterday. We had baked ham & pork roast. The sides were rice & gravy, black eyed peas, & coleslaw. The ham was average. The pork roast was not very good at all. The gravy on the... More

A traditional small restaurant that is a must if you are in the area. Great roast beef and ham sandwiches like grandma used to make or a dinner plate. But the PIES are worth going out of your way for. If near Alexandria, worth the diversion to get a pie.

We've never seen a more beautiful presentation of pies! My Mom and I were in the area and went for lunch. I got catfish and she got the ham. But there were so many pies!!! You can get corn muffins and greens when you sit down, if you ask. This is a Louisiana experience not to be missed...

Best pies ever. We were out on a family drive and stopped. Haven't been here in years but the first bite brought back good memories. Lemon, coconut, and chocolate are the family favorites. We also grabbed ham sandwiches which are filling! But we still had room for more pies!

By accident, found myself close enough to re-visit. When I lived in Louisiana I would frequent this place just about every time I drove to theShreveport area from New Orleans. Back then, it was always an exciting expectation of the trip. 40 years later, still a great place, but having been married for the past 30 years to an incredibly... More

If you live Pie's I'm almost certain you will not find a better pie that you will find @ Lea's... Word in any human language could not possible explain the absolute delight your taste buds have while eating a Lea's pie... I will be back...

The food was just ok. The pies were nothing g spectacular in my opinion. The coconut pie didn't taste like coconut and had none it. Pecan pie ok. Chocolate pie was just nasty. Won't be going back.

It's hard to review a place that is known for pies, but also serves lunch. I'm ONLY reviewing the pies we've eaten here. Pecan - tastes homemade. Not overly gelatinous. It has a rich buttery flavor and the pecans aren't too chewy. The piece of pie had had fresh pecans on it. Lemon meringue - The pie was very lemony.... More
