Was an okay experience. Friendly staff serving home cooking. Ordered one of three lunch specials, baked ham with blackeyed peas and mashed potatoes with gravy. Loved the ham and potatoes. $8.95. Also ordered lemonade and coconut cream pie. Pie was $4.95. Total for lunch was $16 plus tip. Pie was not that special. For the price, I was expecting better.... More

Cookie and I took a road trip recently to visit a relative in the area and stopped for lunch at the Best Pie and Ham joint in the world: Lea's in LeCompte near Alexanxria! The staff were very friendly and helped me, while I was perusing their Gift Shop, to get a real treat (a onesie) for a daughter of... More

Have stopped here a number of times. Lunch menu is a but limits, but sandwiches are good. The real treat are the pies. Fruit pies are by far the best - just not a meringue fan. Great stop off 171 or I-49. Watch speed thru town.

A friend and I stopped here because we were looking for something other than the usual fast food while on a road trip. The homey, country store atmosphere was appealing. There were only three entrées and two sandwiches on the menu that day. My friend and I both ordered the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich did not come with any... More

This little place looked like a neat, local sort of place to stop in on our way to Breaux Bridge for a swamp tour. We'd heard it mentioned but we rather disappointed for the amount of money spent on our lunch, The waitress was very personable and the service was fine. However, the lunch, at $9.95, consisted of one very... More

Have purchased pies here many times. Have always been satisfied with the pies received. A little out of the way if driving I-49, but worth it for the pies.

Stopped for pie, but arrived during lunch. Had a roast beef and wife had ham sandwich. We split 1/2 of each. Really liked both sandwiches. Pecan Pie was good. Great throwback place.

Yesterday was the third time in a row I have stopped at Lea's while in Alexandria. The meal was okay but nothing special. I once again paid $20 for not one but two pies. The chocolate was okay, but the cherry was so sour we had to throw it away. Never again Lea's! An expensive lesson but I'll not be... More

I saw the highway sign and decided to exit, as it was a good time for lunch. I think that the diner was about 5 miles east of I-49, but well worth the short drive! I knew when I pulled into the parking lot that this would be a great place. They have been there since the 1920's and it... More

Lea's was recommended by Jim at Herby K's in Shreveport. He said you have to try their ham sandwich and pie, since he took such good care of us at his place we wanted to give it a try. LeCompte was a precious little town and Lea's Lunchroom is a simple place to have a meal. When I asked the... More
