we ordered a variety of things so we could try a little bit of all of it. my favorite was the shrimp salad, it reminded me of what my grandmother made when i was a kid. the food, service and the value all make this a place you want to try.

Location is very casual, as we walked in and sat amongst what looked to be oyster or shrimp fisherman. These two families had huge platters of fried food, of what appeared to have been a bartered meal. As in traded catch for dinner. This is a way of life down South. One plate had a flounder so large the fins... More

Didn't look like much from the outside but we were so pleasantly surprised. The oysters were gigantic! Took five or six bytes to eat each one. Was even better than Acme oyster house.

Look inside and find your mother waiting on you. We took some friends from CO to see alligators at Lafitte National Park and then went to Boutte's for lunch. We had the frog legs, Supreme shrimp and seafood gumbo. Everything was great. We stopped there because of our belief: 'When in a new area stop where all the cars are"... More

Finding a great down-home restaurant with friendly service like this a real treat. We had just finished our 'Airboat Adventure' at noon, and a local had recommended this place. They had soft-shelled crabs on special that day, and we latched right on to those along with a side of fresh shrimp and taters. After dining at several fancier and more... More

There are not too many restaurants to chose from in this area of Louisiana and I had not been in there for several years. The staff were very friendly but, like many Cajun restaurants in South Louisiana, they do not make the most of what they have. There is a large dining room overlooking the bayou but that is closed... We enjoyed our meals very much at Boutte's. The shrimp had very good flavor to them. We enjoyed the experience. Nice local restaurant.

As a native New Orleanian I have a choice of several excellent seafood restaurants (plain and fancy) within a mile of my home. So why would I drive almost 30 miles to get to Boutte's? First, on a beautiful spring day a trip to Jean Lafitte Park/Preserve is a joy. After a half-hour or so walking the boardwalk through this... More

the waitress was very polite and recommended the specials of the day. My girlfriend visited after visiting the state park and we liked it so much we went back with our husbands. If you like eating with the locals this is a great resturant and a must visit. The food was delicious!
