Treasure this place - A good Indian restaurant such as this is tough to find

Being a person of Indian origin, I am constantly disappointed at what gets passed on as Indian food in the US. Being a person of Indian origin, I am constantly disappointed at what gets passed on as Indian food in the US. Most Indian restaurants dilute the cuisine to such an extent that it becomes barely recognizable as a version of the original. To get a fix for authentic Indian food, I some times go to lesser known places in dingy... More

This was my first visit to Masala. I go to Lafayette on business occasionally and have driven by it before. Indian food is one of my favorites, so I thought I's check it out. Décor and atmosphere were very nice. I was welcomed upon arrival and the service by the waitress was fine. Whenever it's a first time visit to... More

We're not Indian by ethnicity, so this place was fine. The veggie samosas were smaller than we were used to, but everything tasted good. I'd eat here again.

Seriously tho. It's pretty good Indian food. Try the lamb Rogun Josh it's my go to. Only small complaint is they always have the food to mild for a serious curry fan. Even when I insist on the hottest it comes to mild for my taste. But I'm weird...

Masala has always been unexpected since restaurants in this area of the country tend to fall into a very limited range of cuisines. The food is generally good but the heat level is pretty high (even their mild is fairly hot relative to most Indian restaurants). They offer a fair number of vegetarian options (also quite rare in this area).... More

I have visited several times and always have a wonder experience with great staff and impeccable food. Never leave disappointed, and options to satisfy even the less adventurous eater.

This is the first place I ever had Indian food, and I am forever spoiled. Everything I've had here is amazing, but the chicken keema is my favorite. Can't go wrong with garlic naan, samosas, and their house salad dressing is addictive. Service always good & attentive.

I drive an hour and a half to get here, and it is so very worth it. I always know what I'm going to order: samosas, butter nan, and chicken tikka masala. The food is consistently and spectacularly delicious, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is peaceful. The sauce that the chicken tikka masala comes in is so rich,... More

I am a seasoned long term visitor..so much so that I should have a seat named after me here..and a dish too :). I have brought several of my friends here who are willing to or would dare to try some Indian Cuisine in this part of the world. It can be a little overwhelming if this is your first... More

If you are visiting Layfayette and are tired of Cajun food and all things deep fried, this is the place for you. We had the Chicken Tika and lamb roganjosh and both were excellent! Medium spiced is the way to go for both dishes. Service was great, prices are reasonable (especially compared to a big city) and the atmosphere is... More
