New found love

I have always been and still are a devout fan of Prejeans. Many times I will lay over in Lafayette eating at Prejeans that night and stopping for breakfast, yes if you never have, you definitely should. Loved the decor in this place although not a huge dog fan! We got here quite late for lunch but had a lovely meal served by friendly staff. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

The Blue Dog has unique atmosphere and authentic Cajun dishes. The dress was casual and the prices were moderate. We had gumbo and it was good.

I love coming to the Blue Dog, Sunday brunch but especially loved when they had my favorite musician featured, Cedric Watson. The food quality on the brunch is always excellent and they have a very nice atmosphere. The only slightly negative thing I could say is it is a bit pricey, but it's good on a special occasion. I'd also... More

The blue dog theme was done to the max. Our grilled shrimp was tasty, but heavy on the salt and grease. The shrimp etoufee was in a roux that tasted of uncooked flour. Our server was pleasant but forgetful. There are many better restaurants nearby.

Visited at noon on a Thursday and we were seated without any wait time. Love the casual, colorful atmosphere. Waitress was very friendly, attentive and helpful with selections. I had the lunch size crawfish enchilada with dirty rice and corn maque choux. Just the right amount of spice and perfect amount of food for lunch. Husband had club sandwich and... More

Loved being at this restaurant. We had our small dog with us and were able to eat on the patio. Love the paintings of blue dogs and the history of the place. Had fried shrimp and the crab cakes. Yummy!

So I said "what do you want for dinner tonight" and he said "Cajun." This came up in the reviews as a good choice located close to our hotel. When we arrived, the parking lot was almost full, yet they had a table for us -- the place is a lot larger than it looks from the street. Service was... More
