This restaurant was crowded on a Tuesday night and must be a local favorite. The service was very good. They have a Happy Hour until 6pm. I had the chicken/sausage gumbo and the flounder stuffed with crabmeat and topped with crawfish etouffee. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent and the food was good. The décor was focused on the Blue Dog painting so it was relaxing and fun. On both occasions I had to wait 20+ for a table so I would recommend reservations.

Arrived around 7pm on a Friday night, said it was going to be a 45 minute wait sooo.. We headed to the bar! Jolie( a bar tender) immediately greeted us with a smile and review of the beer on tap. Her suggestion of the 8% "andygator" was the best! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, stuffed flounder in creole sauce and... More

We surveyed the menu online and knew there were wonderful choices. We knew there was music in the bar. Put the music together with tasty food and great service and you have a winner! I enjoyed the crab cakes with Roumelade sauce and a side salad. My husband had a special chicken dish with sauteed spinach, rice dressing, and a... More

Lots of people suggest other "seafood" restaurants to experience "Cajun" food BUT this place is definitely one of the best in town. If you want a true "Cajun seafood" experience, this is the place for you.

Delectable brunch most wait in line for! Everything we tried was delicious. We will go back when we're in town.

The restaurant was very enjoyable with all of the blue dog paintings, good beers on tap, and great food selection. What put the Blue Dog over the top for me was the Bread Pudding. Talk about melt in your mouth to die for. I got two portions, one for dessert and one for the next mornings breakfast.

We were travelling in our motorhome from Phoenix to Greensboro, NC. Because of inclement weather along 20 and 40, we chose the longer route on 10. We are so glad we did, as it took us via Lafeyette. A google for local cuisine turned up TBD. On Fri night we found parking for our 31 footer and best of all... More

A networking business dinner was planned here, and I was a representative of my company. The restaurant messed up our large room reservation. They sectioned us off in the main room in a tiny area with partition walls, but it was so extremely loud in the restaurant that the purpose of the networking dinner was wrecked since you couldn't even... Been eating at Blue Dog since 1996. Always good, and a local landmark with the famous Blue Dog art everywhere! Kids welcome as well.
