Fabulous Casual Dining

Loved being at this restaurant. We had our small dog with us and were able to eat on the patio. Love the paintings of blue dogs and the history of the place. Had fried shrimp and the crab cakes. Yummy!

So I said "what do you want for dinner tonight" and he said "Cajun." This came up in the reviews as a good choice located close to our hotel. When we arrived, the parking lot was almost full, yet they had a table for us -- the place is a lot larger than it looks from the street. Service was... More

I went here for a business dinner a few weeks ago. This is not fine dining. No tablecloths and no tea lights on each table. No linen napkins. No jacket and tie required. This is a casual (very casual) dining experience but the menu, service and food were all excellent. The food was not overly spicy and everyone thoroughly enjoyed... More

My server/bartender, Lauren, was outstanding from the time I walked in the door. She took my drink order before I even got properly seated at the bar. She and the rest of the staff were quite friendly and knowledgeable. I quickly learned to trust her recommendations. Those recommendations were spot on. The crawfish enchiladas were the bomb! The Blue Dog... More

On our US road trip we stopped in Lafayette and had dinner at this sweet place. The food was great, the service outstanding and the live music made this a perfect evening.

Awesome Buffet and bottomless champagne! The only shortfall was the Gumbo....it was watery and tasted as if it was burnt. Otherwise, I would recommend everyone go there at least once!

This is a fantastic restaurant for visitors as well as locals. Start the experience right with seafood, cheese & jalapeno fried wontons with a raspberry dipping sauce. After that, you can't choose wrong. Take in the fantastic and famous "BLUE DOG" pictures displayed and enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

I was told about this restaurant and detoured on our way to New Orleans. We stopped for lunch and it was crowded. I had fried catfish covered with crawfish étouffée which was really good. Also the thin sliced vegetables. Don't miss the pecan pie for dessert. All freshly made. I would definitely detour off the interstate to eat here again.

Nice surprise that the crawdad gumbo and crab entree were about as good as they could be. I have a blue dog painting and had hoped someone at the restaurant or nearby studio could place the house in the painting. No luck there but the meal and service was worth the visit. Darn traffic getting back to New Orleans took... More
