For a quick dessert after a night of fun, we stopped in for the first time to the Borden's Ice Cream Parlor that we pass almost daily and had never tried yet. I ordered a sherbet freeze with a cup of Reese's Pieces on the side. My husband ordered a strawberry Dr. Pepper float. Our treats were served at the... More

Your not the last one standing for no reason! This is the last standing Borden's in the nation, a land mark you must visit when in Lafayette. It is like stepping back into the 50's. Ice cream, malts, chocolate covered bananas, and many other treats that will be sure to delight. Located in downtown lafayette within walking rage of other... More

Nice nostalgic return to our memories of childhood and Elsie the Cow from Borden's Dairy commercials. The children loved the ice cream break.

Family of four enjoyed their ice cream. They do have a drive through but we chose it go inside to order. There is only a few tables and bar stools and a few tables outside. All were taken. About half were taken up by people not eating ice cream which was a bit annoying. We had to eat in our... More

It was great to visit this place. Certainly a nice throwback to the old Ice cream shops of yesteryear. I enjoyed the milkshake I had, and my wife had a sundae that was good as well. The prices were reasonable, and the service was great. Overall a nice place.

I haven't seen the Happy Cow since I was a kid! We were in town so we just had to visit the original Bordens ice cream store! Best ice cream and a great historic location. Next time we visit, hopefully our kids can join us. They would love it, too! We tried vanilla chocolate swirl and cherry vanilla this trip.... More

As a child, my family lived just down the road from Borden's. We visited as often as we could, and now that I live two hours away, I always try to stop in for a (you guessed it!) Gold Brick Sundae whenever I'm passing through.

Eating at Borden's is like taking your kids fishing or teaching them to ride a bike, some memories are worth making. It's a bit pricy but hey splurge a little, you only have one life.
