Best Corn Grits!

This is a nice date nite place- not too fancy but nice! They stay very busy. Their Thai rubbed bbq is off the chain. Their corn grits are the best I have ever tasted!! Staff is friendly and the prices aren't fast food prices but they are fair for the quality of what you get.

Wife received a gift certificate to this restaurant to try from co-workers as a Christmas present. I would consider this a step above what would be considered mid range food with mid range pricing. The menu was very varied and offer many choices to a wide range of taste. Wife had fish and I choose a steak both were excellent.... More

I have dined here several times and my only complaint is that the food never seems hot enough and the potatoes are getting drier. I'm not sure if the food is getting precooked that much ahead but it needs to get better. Serve a hot meal. The scoops of grits are getting smaller too, Give customers what $17.25 pays for

The emphasis here is loading 'em in and getting them out, so if you don't mind being processed, this could be your place. It is part of a small chain of restaurants started by 3 chefs, and somewhere along the way it has lost its culinary soul. The thai ribs were very good, the sides indifferent, the pepper jelly dressed... More

Consistently good grub! I have eaten here many times and both the food and service are consistently good. The Asian shrimp appetizer is outstanding as are the hamburgers. If you're wanting something on the lighter side, try a salad. They're all amazing. The rotisserie chicken (1/2 of a bird) is to die for. And of course, let's not forget the... More

I have had so many items from their menu I can't say I have a favorite because I love them all. Their daily rotisserie selections are always a great choice. My go to side is always the roasted corn grits love...love...love. If you have a crowd and want an appetizer I recommend the Mediterranean Hummus. I have even ordered this... More

We had a late lunch/early dinner at Zea recently and I have to say based on the great reviews here I was very disappointed. I ordered a California Cobb Stack and it was whole romaine leaves on a plate that was too small for them, and a "stack" of all of the stuff that is usually on a cobb salad,... More

Zea's food is always good and the service is always top notch. The drinks are good the bar very well stocked. The only problem-the crowds. Take a beeper wait outside or in the bar. It's just not a relaxing experience. But the roasted corn grits and Thai ribs are absolutely perfect!

Four of us had Sunday night dinner here and were not disappointed. Our waiter, Luke, was attentive and pleasant. The Vegetable Mixed Grill was tasty, the Chicken with Red Beans & rice was wonderfully done. Others had the rotisserie chicken and grits (best in town), and a Thai rack of ribs was seasoned well. The room had been decorated for... More

A group of colleagues and I recently brought an out of town guest here for a business dinner. Of the many places to eat in Lafayette, we continue to choose Zea's because they never disappoint on food or service! The thai ribs and corn grits make a delicious pairing and melt in your mouth like butter, the roasted chicken is... More
