Description: We may not take ourselves seriously, but we always take our food...
We may not take ourselves seriously, but we always take our food seriously. Generic is our mortal enemy.A truly American restaurant always has an opinion. At Zea, we state ours confidently, unapologetically and with a little swagger and laughter. Maybe it's our New Orleans roots, but we know good food. And our personalities are as bold as our menu items are flavorful. As with most lovable southerners, what you see is what you get at Zea. That simply tends to be a lot of extraordinary. Go ahead - try anything on the menu. And don't worry; you'll be hungry again in a few days, inspiring you to come back and try something new.

Love this place! Always great seasonal specials and long-time favorites. The frozen Cosmo is to die for. There can be a long wait at peak times, but this place is consistently great!

The food was very good and service was good. I ordered a burger and while eating I noticed someone had left the paper for the cheese on my burger. I informed the waiter just so he could inform the kitchen. He offered me a new burger but I told him that was fine. He ended up taking the burger off... More

This is one of the few chains that I really enjoy. The local owner is always present and making his way around to the tables to ensure his customers' enjoyment. The food is sooooo good and always consistent. The service is always great too. Musts are the frozen cosmos, hummus, Asian almond shrimp, thai ribs, corn grits....well, basically everything on... Went early with my family and they sat me next to a engagement party. Not busy. Holy cow. What were u thinking. Walked out when they relocated me. Too many places in Lafayette for me to be set 8 inches to a Loud wedding party. Never again.

Recently took a customer to Zea for lunch on his recommendation and had a excellent meal with phenomenal service. Started with the Mediterranean Hummus with sundried tomatoes, olives and pita..I don't eat a lot of Hummus, but this was very flavorful and was served in a generous portion for two hungry guys.. I had the Shrimp Breaux Bridge-grilled shrimp in... More

One of those freshly unoriginal eateries who are so proud of themselves. If I go to anymore restaurants who serve $12 "sashimi grade" tuna appetizers with some special sweet drizzle and chef sprinkled sesame seeds from Sysco I'm going to scream. That's right, right there in the restaurant, I'm just going to start screaming and throwing menus at the staff.... More

We were greeted & seated promptly. Our waiter Cody was very attentive. I ordered the rotisserie ribeye well done, it was excellent, as a matter of fact the best steak I've had in quite some time

Went for lunch on a Saturday and the place is packed with Locals. Had the veal special, super! Try the corn grits. Good service, nice atmosphere. Not inexpensive but reasonable for the type of restaurant.

Attentive waiter. Seated at once on a Thursday evening. Good food if you can pass on all the local restaurants available in Lafayette. Just felt like hummus tonight.
