Great Cajun Cooking

This is a little hole in wall place in a strip center but the food is terrific. They have cafeteria style and order from the menu. Everything you order that is fried is fried to order & is crisp with a great flavorful coating. Everything they do is seasoned perfectly.

When I am in town, this is one of my usual breakfast haunts. Grits and biscuits are great. Recommend the smoked sausage. Can get busy at 7,but service never waivers.

This was the worst food I've ever had. My husband wanted breakfast food and I have always wanted to try a beignet. So we decided to compromise with this place. the food was not season at all. The beignet tasted like fried dough no sugar or anything it was disgusting. don't waste your time here

Be prepared for a crowd anytime, but the food is plentiful, the service is prompt, and the breakfasts are delicious!

I split a breakfast plate and beignets with my boyfriend and we were in breakfast heaven. Great potatoes, sausage, biscuits, and eggs. I wish we lived closer because this would be my go-to breakfast place on the weekends. The beignets weren't my absolute favorite, but they were still good. Great service and a must-eat while you're in Lafayette.

It's not Denny's. I noticed the prices are not cheap as the larger cities. I don't know the reason why. Maybe it was a festival weekend. The breakfast was nothing special.

I ate her with my daughter after reading the great reviews. I personally don't see what the hype is all about. To me, the food is great southern cooking. For the price I don't think I would eat here if it was my choice.

I eat out all the time and I don't think I have ever had a worse breakfast in my life. Mc.Donalds would have been a better choice and I hate Mc. Donalds. My eggs were overcooked. The bacon was like leather. Potatoes were dry and the homemade wheat toast was soggy. And who knows what was in the gravy. Needless... More

Oh my gosh! Beignets were to die for! Nothing like having dessert after a great cheese omelet! Loved having a huge carafe of coffee on each table! No waiting around for refills!

T-Coon's (or T-Koon's) is an excellent value for breakfast or lunch. It is at the intersection of 2 major roads (plenty of parking) and is open early. It is mostly for locals. We went three times during our stay.
