4 generation restaurant .... decent food, fair price, great service

Frankly this fit the bill for what we wanted, a great locals hangout. This place bustles at breakfast and I suspect most times of the day. Menu includes everything you would expect. Service was exceptional for the activity and crowd.

We visited here while taking the Cajun Food Tour. We sampled their courtbouillon and it was delicious (and no bones in it at all)!! It was so good that I ordered a lunch to go! The staff are also very friendly!

We visited t coons while on the food tour. I was a little unsure when I found out we were eating courtbouillon as neither of us like fish. We both loved it! We went back the next day and bought 5 containers of The Stuff. We use it on all kinds of things - definitely worth the stop! Just pay... More

I decided to grab a quick bite to eat from T. Coon's one morning. The service was good and the food was okay. I don't have any complaints. I think I should have had more food on my plate for the money I paid. It was just eggs, smoked sausage, and potatoes. The biscuit was just average.

When I'm in Lafayette I try to go to T-Coon's Restaurant for either breakfast or lunch. They offer a good verity of cafeteria style lunches, which (on occasion) includes an outstanding smothered rabbit. It's not a large restaurant but the food there is good. So if you’re ever in the Lafayette area, treat yourself to some good Cajun style food... More

I ordered the biscuit and eggs with bacon. Everything was to my satisfaction. I would like to come back for lunch to try out the lunch menu

Try their Cajun biscuits and gravy. All the food was great, we each had something different for breakfast our last day.

When I am in town, this is one of my usual breakfast haunts. Grits and biscuits are great. Recommend the smoked sausage. Can get busy at 7,but service never waivers.
