small portions, cheesy atmosphere, hesitant staff. I was disappointed because I have heard such good things about this place.

I've been going to HUB for years. It my favorite breakfast spot! It's always clean and the food is always excellent especially the omelets! The orange juice is the best I've ever had...it taste like fresh squeezed. The service is fast. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette!

HUb city diner has really deteriorated ,the only two positives now is that its cheap and the coffee is hot .the menu is hard to understand ,doesn't have standard breakfast features like eggs Benedict .I had scrambled eggs with a glutinous mess of peppers, onions etc ,my wife had mediocre french toast .better to stay home and have breakfast .

Fast service, generous portions, hot coffee, great diner atmosphere - what else could you want for breakfast. Have been here several times and it's always been good, especially the biscuits and gravy and the omlets.

We had breakfast her this morning and the places was filled with locals who seemed to really be enjoying their meal. The restaurant is like an old time diner. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean. They advertise "fresh squeezed orange juice" and the server was open about saying that they did not squeeze the oranges into... More

We stopped in just before the weekday lunch rush and were seated by a friendly greeter. The wait staff were nice too. Food.....good stuff here. The Grilled Shrimp and Fried Green Tomato salad was fantastic! I could easily eat that once a week for lunch. The gumbo was good too. Fun retro 50's décor. Definitely will eat here again.

If you want some authentic Cajun fare, stop here! Not overly spicy. Just right. We had dinner on a week night. Service prompt and polite.

We, a party of five, were there at around 11-12 pm where the premise was three-quarter packed. After a brief wait, we were seated to a corner booth that was the sub-prime area of the restaurant. A tip for the wise is that you should be seated along the walkway of the waitresses if you want to be serviced regularly.... More
