The service and the atmosphere were OK, but I had to send the food back. I had ordered the Bluesiana salad with chicken. The salad greens were not fresh -- with little rotten peices --- does nobody inspect the lettuce before putting it on the plate??? and the chicken had so much pepper on it that it burned the roof... Food was good and service very good. I had mahi mahi grilled and it was good. Lot of the food was upscale gourmet and a little too gourmet for my liking but non the less worth the price. Very busy night and the noise from the large crowd of people made it difficult to have conversation without talking loud.. Atmosphere... More

Another great Lafayette restaurant, I tried the crab salad which was delicious. Great atmosphere, very friendly wait staff, very enjoyable lunch. Would recommend for those without children.

We had the fried catfish with seasonal local vegetables lunch special. The fish was properly fried and the vegetables were very tasty and healthy. The waiter was pleasant and attentive.

Service & atmosphere can't be beat!! However, the food is another story... We ordered the shrimp appetizer with horseradish...presentation was nice, shrimp were good but the topping was tasteless. I think the horseradish was forgotten. Then we split a bone in ribeye. The cognac sauce was the best tasting item that night! My steak knife could not cut through the... More

This was a welcome upscale, classy reastaurant in a city which has a lot of cajun, deep fried meals. Don't get me wrong, the latter can be quite deilcious and fun and a tourist needs to try them. CGs has a more traditional menu, some with a more subtle cajun flair. Great service and ambience.

We had lunch at Charley G´s and really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant itself is very pretty. I started out with a Monique Angora Martini, delicious! I had the chilled shrimp and crab ravigote which was very good and tried the Berkshire pork tenderloin which was very tender and tasty! I also tried the white chocolate bread pudding and the... Stopped in for lunch. The first alert was it was kinda hot in the place. Then the tea came with barely enough ice to cool the tea. Fast forward to the food, it was ok but not fresh, not seasoned, really just mediocre. Not planning on returning. I have eaten better seafood in south Louisiana.
