Crawfish was decent not the best but the gator is always good here. best gator anywhere it practically melts in your mouth. I eat here quite often. Review Brought to you by Http://www.spicypantry.com

My brother and I went for his birthday. We both got the alligator platter and each one was $20. Granted, I knew what the prices were, but was shocked by the small portions and mediocre food quality. The side salad was a joke, the dressing tasted like it came out of a bottle, and the fries I got were generic... More

I took my brother here for a birthday dinner and was shocked at the small portions we got for what I paid. We had the alligator, which I've had at other places for much less. I got fries with it and they were generic and soggy. The side salad was pretty pathetic also. On the positive side, the red velvet... More

On a 17$ seafood basket we received $4 of seafood and $13 in filler. Seriously! 4 shrimp an 4 tiny oysters and an extra large serving of French fries + bread. We ordered an expensive hamburger for my son. McDonalds is making a better burger than this place - and for $10??!! Your best bet is so skip this place!!

I've been flying into Lafayette on a regular basis for a year now and every time I passed the Gator Cove, it looked closed. Saturday, I decided to take a closer look since it sits about a block off the highway. The Gator Cove sign is on a building that is not Gator Cove. Gator Cove is located behind the... More

On our way home to Texas from Alabama, we read great reviews about Gator Cove, and couldn't wait to try it...unfortunatley after driving a ways off of I-10 thru some shady areas, they were closed!! This was on a Saturday at 12:45. They open at 5pm on the weekend. Too bad we missed it...just wanted to share in case you... More

OK so it took me three days to find some gator in something other than sausage! I have had gator before and really like it in filet or chunks when it is in sausage form it doesn't do it justice. For the first time you really need to try it blackened. I was so happy to have been pointed in... More
