Had dinner with the band playing. Oysters on the half shell were great. Fried seafood was good but not great. Too much cornmeal in the breading for my taste.

Randols is well worth the trip. The restaurant is divided into a restaurant section/music hall/dance section. The band is located behind a glass wall; in plain view while you are having your meal. I had the Garlic Gulf Shrimp Pasta along with a side salad. Both were excellent. Be sure to try the house dressing which is a parmesan vinegrette.... More

This restaurant came highly recommended so while visiting Lafayette we decided to give it a try. The food was bad and the service was worse. The alligator bites appetizer was tough and hard to chew. The jambalaya was mushy and tasted old. The chowder was adequate but nothing special. My husband said his fried shrimp was a little greasy. I... More

This place is split into a restaurant section and a music hall / dance section. You get to see the band behind a glass wall while having your dinner, which was very enjoyable. I thought the quality of food was very good. I had a Caesar Salad with blackened Cajun chicken and my husband had the shrimp pasta. Our server... More

This is a typical Cajun restaurant with a band and serious dancing that starts at 6:30. It was so much fun to watch while we ate. We tried all the Cajun favorites-since we couldn't decide we ordered seafood platters, crayfish platters, shrimp platters and boiled crabs. Everything was delicious. Even though this is a great place for tourists, it was... More

We went to Randol's for a family reunion of about 25 people so to be fair large party. the place is large and has a band playing cajun music with complete dance floor so if you are coming for the entertainment is nice to see everyone participating on the dance floor and getting a flavor of Louisiana music and dance.... It is hard to beat Randols for the great one-stop experience of good Cajun style food and authentic, live Cajun music being played with locals dancing the Cajun Two Step and Waltz most nights. Top choice for appetizer most visits has been the fried alligator. Crawfish dishes available most nights, including bisque, étouffée and fried. Boiled crabs, crawfish and shrimp... More

My daughter and a friend dropped by this weekend on their way to the LSU game in Baton Rouge. The friend wanted "the Cajun experience" so we took her here so that she could get some food and music at the same time. I am *not* a fan of these places (food/music) as I find that the music is usually... More

But we enjoyed it very much. I had crawfish étouffée and loved it. My husband had a delicious rare tuna with a few tasty barbecued shrimps. My husband was grumpy going in but the music and the dancing got him smiling quite a bit. Service was great. All in all, the exact experience we wanted.

On my recent visit to see relatives I wanted to hear Cajun music and see dancing while enjoying a good Cajun meal. Heard the music, seen the dancers but the food was not very good. Thai snapper was tasty but the cabbage tasted raw and not sautéed. The "spicy curry cream" tasted like it came straight out of the jar.... More
