Authentic Ambiance with Live Music!

We visit Lafayette about once a year to see family. This was one of the more authentic feeling restaurants we've been to in the area! Wood floors, a dance floor, live music and a big menu. We had a range of ages with us (2 1/2 - 40+) and all had an easy time ordering and enjoyed the experience... read more

Stopped in for dinner with friends and had a great evening. I was here for the mudbugs but two of our group had the Thai Snapper. All good. The music started up halfway through my bugs and it gave a great backdrop. If you can spend some time around the dance floor you should do so. Nice evening. Would definitely... More

I took a friend from out of state to enjoy Cajun food, music and dancing. This was a great spot for all three. We enjoyed our entrees, and the portions were generous. I loved the blackened catfish with shrimp étouffée. My friend enjoyed the BBQ shrimp, but the shrimp came cooked in a liquid/broth sauce with the shells still on,... More

My father remembered eating here years ago (guess it was memorable ~30 years ago) and he had to go back for the seafood platter. Of course the menu has changed a little in that time so no frog legs this time but we were all pleased with our meal. We got the seafood platter with the jambalaya addition, gumbo, boudin... More

We went to Randol's during a recent trip to Lafayette looking for the fais dodo, and we landed in an excellent food experience. We stepped out of our comfort zone and ordered the three pounds of crawfish; the waitress and nearby diners were kind enough to show us how to peel them (several times), and we enjoyed our meal immensely.... I only wish the menu on trip matched the menu in the resturant. When I asked why I was told that was from our old menu of corse the item I came for was removed. My wife enjoyed her soft shell crab I have had better bbq shrimp. The desert made up for it, be sure to have the bread... More

The best thing about this place is the live Cajun music and the locals dancing to it. We listened and watched for hours. Most of the food was good, but not great. The exception was the crawfish etouffee which was the best I have ever had. The only real downer was ordering hurricanes at the bar and getting a sickeningly... More

All around this treasure is new development...an area having one of everything that you can find anywhere. That is definitely not Randol's. I'm so glad that they have not sold out and built a new building somewhere else. Good food and live cajun entertainment is a wonderful combination. The alligator appetizer was a "must do" and not to be avoided.... More

Our first night in Lafayette we had dinner at a higher rated restaurant and were disappointed. We had a late lunch and were looking for a light dinner and some music. Went to Randols and were glad we did. The place looks like a dance hall as much as a restaurant. Not a great place to go for a quiet... More

Some of the best food around and live music when I was there. Great Cajun food and feel. I would definitely go back.
