Good food- good service

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Lafayette Louisiana. The food is always fresh. I particularly like the steak fajitas and the chicken enchilada with suiza sauce! And what a treat to have breakfast there! Go ahead - next time you are in the mood for Mexican, go to La Pagua's.

It was cold outside and I was in the mood for soup, so I tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was delicious with a rich broth and large chunks of vegetables. Because it only comes in one medium sized bowl, I ordered the beef tongue taco on the side. It was suggested to me by friends and proved to be... More

I saw some reviews prior to eating here, declaring this the best Mexican restaurant in Lafayette, LA. I had high expectations, and they were met. The prices are lower and the quality better than the chain Mexican places that we have.

We usually go here to eat after church on Sundays. I love the nachos with lengua put on them. Service may be a little slow at times but we still love this place.

I loved the food here. I had the Shrimp Fajitas. So, the fajitas were not what I thought they were going to be. This dish was served with a roasted onion as opposed to the onion/pepper combo that I am accustomed to seeing. Everything was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but we arrived shortly before closing. My co-worker... More

Came to this restaurant as a little hole in the wall, and now has expanded in a new and larger location. Normally I'll get chorizo, huevos for dinner. We tried the cheese enchiladas and pork tamales. All meals were very hot and tasty. The pork tamales were moist and tender. The hard shell tacos were stuffed with healthy portion of... More

We went with another couple, it was our first visit there. Place was packed but moving along quickly. We were seated, and got drinks brought to us from the bar by our server. Very good. Our food was great, our server was attentive. It was a real busy place, lots of people............. so it was kind of loud in there.... More

Hands down the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. And SUPER cheap. Their tacos are incredibly unique and definitely a favorite. I've eaten here over 10 times and have not had one single bad dish. Service is impeccable too- very knowledgable staff. Salsa is the best I've bee tried and the Cadillac margarita is special!

I was so impressed with this restaurant. It is quaint but comfortable. The menu is full and even more so because they accommodated my vegetarian tastes, creating a special vegetable quesadilla with light cheese. Every single thing was wonderful!

Almost feel bad about giving this restaurant only 3 stars because it was good but nothing really stood out. Chips and dip, food, drinks and service were all good, much like most other Mexican restaurants. However it is located in a small strip mall and the interior is kind of plain, nothing to really make it stand out. If you... More
