Great meal

We had a wonderful meal. Many unique dishes which we truly enjoyed. The waiters were very helpful and courteous. The management took an interest in everyone in the restaurant. We did get to see the lunch menu and we can't wait to make it there for lunch soon. We shall return

It's now called Cafe Degaulle Square. Same owners as the Pour Room. Good wine list and bourbon list. Food was average. Service was great.

Our evening was made special by our waiter - he made excellent recommendations on the food and the wine. The staff made a point of being familiar with us which made the evening more enjoyable! Highly recommend you try them if you haven't yet.

The food is delish, the waiters are knowledgeable and discreet and the wine selection is excellent. We like to go there for 'special occasions'. Check out the menu ahead of time because there are so many good choices it may take a while to make a decision! Prices are on the expensive side but well worth every cent. There's also... More

From the minute you walk in you feel like you are somewhere other than Lafayette, LA. The Village Cafe has professional staff and a very impressive, very lengthy wine list. The menu is limited, but each dish is well thought out and a culinary experience. Prestation is good. Atmosphere is like NYC which is good. The prices are a bit... More

The appetizers were great! I had the lunch special pork chop with mashed potatoes as well as a Cesar salad. Both were perfect! Loved the atmosphere as well. We have a reservation for Saturday night. We'll see what their dinner is like. The lunch is great!

Had a company event here, and the menu was fabulous. The management, chefs, and staff was amazingly friendly, helpful and courteous. It's paired with the adjacent wine bar (Pour) and has a great selection of wines, scotch and whiskey. The fillet and quail were incredible. Great flavor, taste, and service.

To get to this restaurant is a feat unto itself and would have been better not to have found it. Ordered their steak tartare which looked rather dismal in presentation and taste. Next came a summer salad which I am not sure why it was named that as all that was in it was bacon and some corn removed from... More

They have the most amazing food. Lunch is pretty reasonable and they have daily specials. Night time the prices are high, but the food is so good and everything they serve is at the top in quality. They also do a brisk Sunday business. Check 'em out. Also in a very beautiful location and if the weather is right, you... More

Found this place by accident . Worth the detour into Lafayette! We all had delicious sandwiches and amazing tomato basil soup and home-made chips and red pepper ketchup to die for. My kids have been begging to go back so we will stop there again on the way back.
