Best Po Boys in town

Olde Tyme has the best po boys in Acadiana hands down. The fried shrimp is my favorite, but anything on the menu is great. They believe on putting a huge amount of shrimp or meat on them.

Shrimp po-boys were large. Service was fast. We ate on the patio to enjoy the weather. This is about 3 blocks from ULL campus. Parking is available across the street. This is a Lafayette landmark and deservedly so. Good, authentic po-boys.

Splurge and get the shrimp. It will be the best po'boy, if not the best sandwich you've ever had. Don't go for crawfish, as tempting as it may be in Lafayette, as there is too high of a batter/meat ratio. Oysters can work great, but sometimes can be over-battered, as well. Just get a full shrimp and bring cash, as... More

Had dinner here with spouse. Shared a whole shrimp po'boy ($9.50) and order of fries ($1.95). Prices are very good! Portions are huge. Everything about our sandwich was perfect. Bread was a bit crusty but didn't taste stale; was absorbent enough so we didn't have juice dripping off our elbows. They sell soft drinks and beer to wash down your... More

Couldn't have asked for better Po Bo's and local beer. We had a shrimp one that was loaded with a bunch of big fried shrimp. Cash only.

Some of the best po-boys you can get. The shrimp po-boy is a family favorite and it is overflowing with shrimp. Other yummy po-boys are the catfish, roast beef, and the Olde Tyme Special. It's got a good vibe and the service is fast. Food has always been hot and the bread is fresh. Conveniently located near UL campus.

Most of my visits to Lafayette over the past 6-7 years, I've always wanted to try this place, it is number one rated restaurant on Trip Advisor for a very good reason. Always my co-travellers would steer us away to other just as worthy dining destinations. So glad i was on my own and could come directly here. I asked... More

Olde Time Grocery is a staple of Lafayette. If you have lived here for a short time- you have heard of it. If you have lived here your whole life- you have been there many times and have taken out of towners there! My favorite is the meatball po-boy! Its quaint, parking isn't that great and in a busy area... More
