I went there as a recommendation from a local, and it was great. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place with a little grocery store in front and tables in the back and outside. I had a "full" shrimp po'boy that was delicious. The shrimp was large and tasty, on a large bun with sauce, lettuce and tomato. I was really hungry... More

If you want to view what a real po boy tastes like, go to Olde Tyme. Been coming here for 20 years and still love it. Always cramped though.

Four of us had the shrimp Po Boy. All four were loaded with shrimp, lettuce and tomatoes. The shrmp were lightly breaded and very tender. It has been a while since I had shrimp that were so tender. The bread was very soft. The regular sized sandwhich is big enough to split between 2 people. As the name implies it... More

I have been eating po'boys from Olde Tyme for over 30 years. Can't find a better one anywhere! The roast beef and swiss is amazing but so is the shrimp and catfish. Even the regular ham & cheese is great. Try them all!

This is by far the best po boy type shop in Lafayette. The house special is so good. It is always a treat to go to the Old Tyme Grocery.

My wife and I stopped by here to check it out on our way to New Orleans. We had the house special Poboy with turkey, ham, and roast beef on it. We ordered one to share. It was huge. Besides all the meat it had a special dressing, gravy, and veggies on it. It was fantastic. A bit messy which... More

The po' boys here are like no other! The bread is flaky but still soft and fluffy. I'm in love with the shrimp but I have also tried the meatball and my husband loves the oyster. There is really no bad choices. A bag of Zaps chips and Abita root beer make it perfection. It's very busy for lunch but... More

If you want a great deli experience and food this is your place. I like the oyster po-boy best but the shrimp is great also. The Olde Tyme special is way more than any sane person can eat so get a half or share. If you go during Lent on Friday you will see EVERYONE
