If you want a great deli experience and food this is your place. I like the oyster po-boy best but the shrimp is great also. The Olde Tyme special is way more than any sane person can eat so get a half or share. If you go during Lent on Friday you will see EVERYONE

Best Seafood PO-boy I've ever eaten. Tried this restaurant as part of the Cajun Food Tour and I was without words to describe this PO-boy. The bread on this sandwich absolutely perfect not hard not soft but perfect. I savored every bite.

A great local place. Cash/check only. You place your order and wait for you name to be called. No wait staff. Cool experience.

The shrimp poboy is good but nothing spectacular. The shrimp has a tasty breading/flavor but there is no sauce etc...very plain. We also had the grilled shrimp salad...good but not exceptional. The fries are thick wedge style and good as well.

I love the city of Lafayette! We stopped in on our way to Florida. Great po-boys and very friendly service. We had to get our sandwich to go because we were traveling with our pets. Next time we would like to dine in.

As South Africans desperate for unbattered, un-fried good food without the carbs, we were delighted to discover that The Old Tyme Grocery offered a shrimp salad with a choice of dressings. It was just what we wanted, and the quality of the grilled shrimp was excellent...tender, moist and flavoursome. The service was friendly and prompt, and we felt very much... More

Went one lunchtime and had a meet ball Po-boy. Yummy. Excellent sauce, plenty of meat. In fact it was so enjoyable I went back that evening and had a fried oyster Po-Boy. Again very good. I will be back

This place is one of the spots that locals go to. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Parking kind of sucks though.
