The atmosphere here is ok, kind of a sports bar/restaurant vibe. The service was good enough, prompt and courteous. The food was a bit of a let down, I was expecting some Cajun fire on my blackened catfish, but only got a little spice. The crawfish gumbo it came with was tasty, adding a little of the hot sauce on... More

I have enjoyed Prejean's fares in both Lafayette and at their kiosk in New Orleans for each annual JazzFest. I hadn't been to Lafayette in a long while, but while on a drive stopped for lunch. I was very happy with making the stop. Although the restaurant has a lack luster atmosphere, the food and service are consistently good. I... More

I broke up a 12-day gastro-vacation to New Orleans a road trip up to Baton Rouge and Lafayette. I had supper at Prejean's on my last day of the road trip, but had I gone there for lunch on my first day in Lafayette, I might have foregone all the other planned restaurants and simply kept coming back here for... If you are traveling on I-10 or I-49 through Louisiana, you need to plan your trip so that you pass through Lafayette at lunch or dinner time. I could eat here for a month straight, never eat the same item, and walk away happy each time! The Boudin balls are exceptional, as are the mushrooms stuffed with crawfish and crab.... More

"Let the Good Times Roll" - as long as it is fueled by catfish and fried oysters from Prejean's! This is the one place we return to time after time when in Lafayette!

My friends and I stopped here as out one last hurrah on our trip. The food was delicious and the decor even better. The waitress was attentive and nice. It was a little on the pricier side but worth checking out.

I'm in Lafayette/Louisiana for the first time (hopefully many more visits to come) and my boyfriend and I decided to eat at Prejeans per a friend's suggestion. This was my first meal in Louisiana and WOW. Absolutely amazed. I had the Softshell Crab Imperial and he had bacon wrapped shrimp, with an appetizer of fried alligator. I have to say,... More

Friendly staff, & nice atmosphere. Seafood Gumbo was great , chicken and sausage gumbo was also delish. Fried shrimp and fries were finger lickin good. The crawfish boudin balls with a creamy gravy dipping sauce are so tasty a must try. I will definitely go back next drive through Louisiana.

From Covington to Lafayette I had to make that drive to meet my colleague for Lunch. After the aggressive drive I arrive a couple of minutes late and as always, the place was busy. I don't think I have ever been to this establishment and it not be busy. I have been trying vegetarian meals when I can so I... More

Took a visit to my favorite restaurant Prejeans today, only to get stale gummy corn, bad service and so on. For 3 years I have ordered the same dish which is pepper jack shrimp. But it is a different taste and texture now due to a new cook staff!!! Won't be going back!!!'
