Good Gumbo

The gumbo was fantastic! The rest of the food I tried over the course of 3 visits in a week had a tough time keeping up with the gumbo. Lots of fried food which really tasted the same as all the other fried food (was that gator or crawfish). The étouffée was very rich, albeit lacking in crawfish... read more

We were told it was a very good place so we were expecting a great Cajun meal. Most of the food was deep fried and greasy . Service was slow. Definitely not worth the money.

Ate there twice while on vacation. Food and service both very good. Large varied menu to choose from. Highly recommend it.

While flying to Lafayette, the person besides me recommended I eat at Prejean's. So did the hotel. So I went. The blackened catfish with shrimp and crab etoffee with corn. It was superb. It has a reputation and it surpassed mine. When I return, I will visit again.

We ate here two days in a row. Their food is fantastic! When the menu says that particular item has won an award. ...believe them. It's the best tasting Cajun food in town. Great lunch menu till 2pm. You will NOT be disappointed.

As you walk in the front door you are greeted by three shelves of culinary awards the chef has won. The food reflects the skill of the chef. It is some of the best you will taste. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but well worth the drive.

We went to this restaurant passing through Louisiana and were not disappointed. The food was a bit pricey for what we got, but the atmosphere and music made up for that. There was continuous live Cajun music throughout dinner and it was great. I had oysters and my husband had the shrimp, both of which were good, but there was... More

When your 60th Wedding Anniversary occurs while en route from Palm Springs, CA, to home in Nova Scotia, you really have no idea what sort of hotel or restaurant one will find. However, the young lady at the Best Western Lafayette recommended this restaurant and we are happy that she did. We enjoyed it. We were shown to a table... More

This restaurant is the most authentic Cajun experience we could imagine! It looks like your table is in the middle of a swamp (nice swamp!) with cypress knees and Spanish moss, alligators and boats, . There's a little stage backed by a beautiful stained glass window of a boating scene and a Cajun music group playing authentic local Cajun music.... More
