Expensive and Crowded

Only 2 drawbacks.. will take most of your money and very very busy place. With that said, the crab cakes are the best anywhere. Very very good spicy food. Love it!

Living in Lafayette, I've been to Prejean's about 6 or 7 times. It's a fun place to take out of town guests because of its cajun food, laid back, bayou-themed atmosphere, and live cajun music, but I think it's been resting on its laurels for way too long. The "award winning dishes" won the awards over 10 years ago. The... More

We always try and stop on our way back to Texas for that last bite of goodness and are never disappointed. We had the Crawfish platter.......LOVED the fried crawfish and the stuffed crawfish balls. Not crazy about the crawfish bisque...it was not made with cream and was more like a gumbo. Did not care for the crawfish cornbread or the... More

In the two visits I have made to Lafayette, I have been to Prejean's twice. While I am sure there are alternatives in the area for authentic Cajun cuisine, Prejean's was recommended to my daughter and I on our first visit by a host in the Welcome Center. We were visiting to see the graduate school and wanted to experience... More

We visit Prejeans each time we are in Lafayette. It never fails to be good. Give it a try! ! I personally love the crab cakes but have had a number of things and they are always tasty.

Note that this is a review of one person's experience. My family went to Prejean's for an evening of music and delicious food, spent over $100 on dinner, and went to the car to find that the battery was dead. Being new to the Lafayette area, my husband and toddler went back inside to ask the host if anyone could... More

The catch was a fish called Tripletail or Triple Tail. Served with fried green tomatoes and a cream sauce with shrimp. Three great items building a fabulous plate of food! My server, Scottie steered me to this special. With some very put together sweet tea, this was such a treat. BTW, they have a cam with their website listed... Prejeans.com.... More
