Best Steak I have ever had

Four of us went 8-29-2015 for supper. I had the filet steak. I had read several reviews on trip advisor and they all gave 5 stars for the steak. I think it was the best steak I ever had. You have to get off the pocket book but for a occasional treat I sure enjoyed it.

We live on the south shore and wanted to try this restaurant for quite some time. I just didn't want to drive back across the lake after a dinner with cocktails and wine. For a birthday celebration I rented a stretch limo to take us and it solved our dilemma! We went on a Thursday evening in the summer; the... More

This is another one of the John Besh restaurants and the chef, Erick Loos, knows what he is doing. We are from Los Angeles and were going to have our last meal of our trip at Emeril's but were already on the North shore. We were with friends who live in NO and they suggested going here instead. What a... More

This is a hidden gem. Located in a rural location across the lake in St Tammany Parish it has become a Mecca for those who enjoy country French dining in an atmosphere that is charming and authentic. Chef Eric Loos is a master of the hearty cuisine of Provence. His subtle nuances on local seafood is outstanding. This is a... More

We attended a wine dinner here with a menu selected to accompany the wines. We were a large group and each course was well presented and delicious. The servers were all wonderful as you would expect at an establishment of this caliber. We were very pleased we were able to attend this event.

Wanted to try the last Besh restaurant on my list for my birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Lovely provincial French atmosphere, great service, lagniappe (pate to start & mayhaw simple syrup for the iced tea), nice wine list, and fresh & delicious menu items. Sampled the steak, pork cheeks & duck entrees. All... More

We were staying in Covington, LA and took a ride one night to Lacombe, LA to dine at this touted restaurant. Anything John Besh does is usually GREAT. It's in an old house and the ambiance is lovely. Good wait service and a good wine list along with our dinners which were delicious. That's what you're looking for in a... More

Took a group of 6 for a Mother's Day dinner. After drinks, appetizers, main courses, dessert and the tip the total was $640. This would not be bad if the experience and food was near perfect but the restaurant has declined under John Besh's management. After assessing everyone's experience we found that the items from Chef Chris' original menu still... More

Just moved to the area and did not even realize this great restaurant was a few miles down the street. Now that I know about it, and have experience it, we will be returning. Great atmosphere and unique meals. Yes it is pricy but so worth it. I am looking forward to trying their brunch. We really likes the quail... More

The Market Menu certainly is a bargain. On the night we went it was fine. Not exceptional, but fine. I tried, once again to love risotto - and this one did not change my mind. It was beautiful with spring peas, but the shrimp were not jumbo as advertised, were not deveined, and were over cooked. However, my biggest complaint... More
