Excellent meal!

Every course was excellent. The Oysters Ooh-la-la were - ooh-la-la! The crab bisque was loaded with crab. For the dinner entree, we split the flounder and puppydrum, both of which were excellent. The puppydrum was fried to absolute perfection. We selected a delightful French white wine for the... read more

Ordered the Market Menu dinner, $31, for an appetizer, entree, and dessert.......great deal and the food was OUTSTANDING! Everything was very well seasoned and inventive. My husband and I both ordered different things so we had much to taste.......not a bad item in the bunch! Can't say that very often! Beautiful drive across the lake at sunset, wonderful meal in... We decided to take our freshamn son out to celebrate his good grades during his 1st and 2nd Quarter before he headed back to school for his spring Quarter. We all like La Provence for special occasions like this. It was my wife and I, our high school daughter, and our 18 year old son for dinner this past Sunday... More

La Provence had a great premise, farm fresh ingredients (so tired of the catch phrase "farm to table"), classic food and presentation. It fell short in delivery however. Portion sizes were expensive and small. We ordered a $12 drink and it was literally a sip. It is very out of the way and not worth the drive from New Orleans.... More

Farm to table seasonal menu that never disappoints. Great place for a date night as the ambiance is uber romantic without being over intimidating.

Love that they grow and raise a lot of their products. Food is different from most restaurants and delicious. Not inexpensive

If LaProvence had better prices I may give it a four. If they served decent portion sizes I may even give it a five. The ambiance is superb and the service is usually excellent. The pâté is a very nice starter. But the prices are too high for slightly above average fare with very small servings. I just don't find... More

I have gone to this restaurant for many years and always thought it was outstanding under Chef Chris. Now, I hate to say it, it is even better. The quail gumbo was enough to bring tears to my eyes followed by the flounder and then Monkey Bread. It was truly among the best meals I have ever eaten! Do not... More

I met a team I was working with - I arrives in from Prague which had taken 24 hours door to door...so I was pretty tired - and had my bags, and it was 10:00pm after delays. I was greeted and my bags safely stored. They keep the kitsch open and made a wonderful rabbit pasta dish - divine! I... More

My wife and I love one of John Besh’s restaurants, ‘Luke’, in New Orleans, so we were really looking forward to dining at his signature place on the north shore of the lake in Lacombe. Our reservation at La Provence was at 6PM, and we were seated promptly. The restaurant is quaint and cozy inside. It is not quiet however.... More
