For me a trip back home to New Orleans in not complete without stopping at Kenner Seafood. The boiled seafood is the best in the area and the service is extremely friendly. This restaurant is exactly what I think of when you describe a "hole in the wall family restaurant".

It's a seafood smorgasbord heaven offering seafood platters you don't often find anymore, such as the shrimp loaf. My college days were filled with eating these delectable seafood treats! It consists of a loaf of bread with the insides scooped out and seafood filled and capped with the toasty loaf's top. There is a wide variety of seafood to choose... More

Kenner Seafood is a restaurant and seafood market combination that is a local favorite. If you are a visitor from out of town you may be the only tourist in the place. As with many of the small restaurants in greater New Orleans most seafood is served fried, and it's done very well. They also serve boiled seafood such as... More

Trip Advisor did us well on this place. We had crab finger appetizer (the cocktail sauce is very good), crawfish (seasoned perfectly, an oyster po-boy (fried perfect), and a shrimp po-boy (huge). Then we were talked into an ooye gooey square for dessert which was really good. I would definitely return.

They were out of the chicken gumbo at 7pm so we had Seafood gumbo it was just ok I expected a little more after reading all the reviews. I had a half & half Po-Boy shrimp and oysters and... More

While it may be a little hard to find this is the place where all of the local's go to. I take a great delight in bringing visitors to this restaurant. The portions are what I use as a reference when i go to other restaurants. They are very generous with their portions. Another thing you will get is great... More

We are Baton Rouge natives, but live now in Colorado. However, whenever flying into or out of New Orleans, we always stop here. It's a little, almost hard-to-fine, restaurant for locals. We've always found the food and service to be good, but the prices and value are great. You can choose your fresh seafood or crawfish (when in season) boiled,... More

Our group had boiled blue crabs, crabmeat a gratin, and an oyster poor boy. Everything tasted great. Can't wait for my next trip to NOLA. Kenner Seafood is a must every visit. Great food and service.

We often visit this restaurant because we like it so very much. They offer a wide variety of seafood. We enjoyed eating grilled/blackened seafood. A lot of restaurants only offer fried seafood. The food here is always very tasty. The decor of the restaurant is also very appealing. Lots of New Orleans mementos cover the walls. They are also busy... More
