Phenomenal Seafood

Small, local hole in the wall with great seafood. Oysters were fresh shucked at $8 doz, boiled crawfish were seasoned well and $3.50 per pound. Sat at bar - very attentive service and everyone we saw seemed very satisfied. Many locals were there. Would go out of my way to go back.

I really love this place. It's a no frill affordable restaurant that serves fresh and well cooked seafood. The boiled shrimp were nicely seasoned and tender, the oysters on the half were fresh and you couldn't beat the price at $8 per dozen, the crawfish etouffe was on a spicy side (which I loved) and generously filled with crawfish tails.... The good is poor at best. The shrimp was over cooked..and tasteless. Will not be coming back. The waitress was really sweet and helpful...

You go to this place because you like fresh seafood well prepared and/or because you love oysters on the half shell or great bugs. Consistently Great. And if there is something you would like but don't see on the menu just ask. If the basic ingredients are there they will fix it. Had a Caesar Salad with fried shrimp and... More

I love seafood and this location was so average. I had calamari, my son had fried shrimp and my husband had catfish. He did not want to finish it. My calamari was average. The bar service was slow, painful, and the cashier was mean. No one smiled at all, unless it was directed at another employee. Very, very below average... More

Been going there for over 20 years and it is the only oyster bar in the south where I will eat raw oysters in Mray, Jurn, Jury or Argust. As you can see I eat them year round. This is the place but be prepared for a long wait in line unless there are seats at the bar..my favorite place... More

In 1997 the first time I drove by I saw a line around the block I did an immediate U Turn and have eaten here regularly since. Sit at the bar so you don't have to wait and good food with reasonable prices. I always eat here and have never been disappointed. Service is hectic so ve patient and enjoy.

We just came back from a week in New Orleans! It was wonderful, and this restaurant was the best that we found! The boils (shrimp, crawdads) are FABULOUS! The proof of how good they are, is the fact that they are ALWAYS packed! We will be back!!
