I happened to be in Kenner for a conference next door at the Crowne Plaza and decided to have lunch at The Brick Oven Cafe. I was thrilled that Spaghetti Con Aglio was on the menu since that is my favorite pasta and it is not easily found. There is usually an abundance of marinara and cream sauces. All I... More

I personally thought my food was okay, but the rest of the 10 people we were traveling with weren't too crazy about it. It's a nicer/semi fancy atmosphere so we were constantly having to keep the kids from messing things up. It was, however, in a very convenient spot located near several hotels. The parking lot was very small and... More

I stopped here while traveling on business for a quick bite. With a name like Brick Oven Cafe I was expecting a regular restaurant with an emphasis on pizza and fired dishes. Make no mistake, this is really an Italian restaurant. The bread they bring is delicious and they're not shy about refilling it. I got a sausage and pepperoni... More

We ordered two of the crab ravioli specials and a chicken parmigiana. The other two people in my party loved the ravioli; it contained a lot of crab and came with a nice sauce. My chicken dish was very good. The sauce on the chicken was close to what I make which takes 12 hours of simmering -- very good!... More

Very good food and a great location pre or post airport. We ordered the chicken scarpariiello and pasta jambalaya. The chicken came with a nice selection of fresh vegetables and roast potatoes. The pasta could have benefited from a bit more spice but was enjoyable. The interior is a pleasant traditional style Italian restaurant. Family friendly.

Our traveling group of 12 stopped in here pretty late after a long day of driving. We attempted to go to the restaurant across the street, but they just weren't sure when or if they'd be able to accomodate our large party, so we decided to try Brick Oven. We had 3 cranky kids with us and they seated us... More

Thank you Trip Advisor Community, for pointing us to this little hidden gem. Located in a strip mall next to a daiquiri joint, we were happy to find a great restaurant with a great staff. We were here in the very late lunch hours (3:30 on a Sunday) and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We were seated near... More

Being born and raised in NYC, I always enjoy the familiarity and ambiance of a good Italian Restaurant. The Brick Oven Cafe is just that; great Italian food in a setting similar to what I grew up to love in New York. It's close to the New Orleans airport and hotels. For the traveler making his way back home, this... More

Every time my wife and I fly out of the N.O. airport we stop by the Brick Oven Café. Great way to start a trip. Gets better every time we go.
