Being born and raised in NYC, I always enjoy the familiarity and ambiance of a good Italian Restaurant. The Brick Oven Cafe is just that; great Italian food in a setting similar to what I grew up to love in New York. It's close to the New Orleans airport and hotels. For the traveler making his way back home, this... More

Every time my wife and I fly out of the N.O. airport we stop by the Brick Oven Café. Great way to start a trip. Gets better every time we go.

I have eaten here twice on two trips to this area. Both meals, a pasta and a filet dish, were very good. This is a solid neighborhood restaurant and bar. There are Italian favorites and a few creative offerings. Everything is made to order. If I am back in this town again, I will go back.

Stopped in on the way to the airport. Sat at the bar and had great service. The place was crowded and the food was really good. Lots of pizza selections and wine choices.

Lived about an hour from this Italian restaurant all my life, just discovered it! Definitely worth eating there!

The food is wonderful! From the lasagna to the spaghetti bolognese to the steaks. I've honestly enjoyed every meal. The wait staff is very attentive! Great value for your portion size. If you leave hungry, it's your fault!

I've had pizza a few times and it's been really good. Service is good but I've only sat at the bar those times. So it's quality food if you're travelling...sure beats the menus at the Crowne or Double Tree.

They don't offer lunch on weekends which forces you to order a full meal. Never heard of such a thing. The name is a misnomer. Only one Pizza on the small pizza menu is brick oven cooked (if they even had one). The two pizzas ordered in our party were soft on the bottom and greasy. The meal I ordered... More

I think a restaurant has a character that is defined by the look and feel of the restaurant, the staff, the music and the smell and their signature dishes. It all goes together to create an experience for the diner. The Brick Oven used to be an Italian restaurant in every way. One of their signature's was warm bread fresh... More
