Good food

We live in Baton Rouge & when we fly on vacation we always stop in to eat at Johnnys. The are on Williams Blvd so it is close to the airport. They have a good varity on the menu, from just poboys to seafood platters to steaks. I have never had a bad meal here out of the 10 times... read more

This is most definitely NOT a bistro. It is a sports bar with a part of it disguised as a family restaurant. There was a party in another part of the restaurant so we had to wait for almost an hour before we got our food. If we had been warned about this before we ordered, we would have left.... More

Great Fried Catfish Strips ( all you can eat) Normally we go on Tuesday Nights for all you can eat Crablegs (sometimes DUNGENOUS). very good value, good service, and comfortable seatting. It's just a neighborhood seafood restaurant with really good food.

This may be the worst dining experience ever. The food was un-edible. We were a party of 5 and not one of us could eat our meal. Sticky menu, iced tea that tasted like water (When I asked for a new glass the waiter said the sell so much it would all be that way). The salad dressing was sour,... More

After traveling all day to catch early flight next day, we went here,,, and overall it was just very average. The service was slow, and unattentive, some of our seafood was over done, the po-boy was bland, but the gumbo was good. We did not stay for dessert either,,, will not be back

I've been here twice and both times the service was horrible. The last time the restaurant was not busy and we waited a king time for food and refills. They burned my daughters grilled cheese and then remade it after we said she wasn't gonna eat it burnt. It then came out burnt only on one side and one side... More

Our broiled redfish was nicely seasoned and not too salty. Also tasty were the seafood gumbo, creamy coleslaw, and seasoned mashed potatoes. The mixed vegetables did not taste fresh (probably frozen) and some of the slices of French baguette bread seemed stale. We arrived about 7 p.m. on a Tuesday and were surprised how full they were. It turned out... More
