Family Dinner

Great Food and Drinks. Was in town for a family visit. Great selections on the Menu. Never disappointed at Copeland's. Very busy, but went to the bar for drinks.

We were told this is a local chain, which it is not. We had a difficult time finding out how much food was too much. Finally we ordered two cups of gumbo, red beans and rice with cat fish fingers, and catfish and shrimp marinara with whole grain pasta. The gumbo was OK as were the red beans and rice.... More

Was concerned before I went based on reviews. Arrived at 12:02 pm with plans to make a 1:20 show. Hostess not friendly, definitely not in the right job. Shawn, our waiter, was great. I ordered the bronzed salmon with couscous and my husband had the crab cake with shrimp Alfredo pasta. We also had an onion mum. We were very... More

Omg! Crab cake was good. But the pasta was horrible. Very dry taste like regular old noodles. Service was slow. I doubt I come back here ever.

We ordered takeout last minute hoping to just get something edible. Wow.. when we got back to the hotel room and tore into the dinner we couldn't believe how tasty everything was. Really a nice surprise. I had never been before but I will certainly go back. And it wasn't expensive at all.

I had catfish richochet (topped with pecans, sesame and creole meuniére sauce served with roasted pecan cole slaw, two corn fritters) with crawfish stuffed baked potato while my wife had eggplant pirogue (smothered in a delicious au gratin sauce with gulf shrimp and fresh crab claws) , both absolutely delicious! Pecan cole slaw was really different, as was the baked... More

Ordered pasta with Lemon Butter sauce, got Alfredo. The shrimp on the Catfish Acadiana were mushy, and not enough sauce. I was surprised at how small the piece of catfish was. The waitress poured coke into my husband's iced tea glass... She never did clear the plates out of the way. She had 3 table where we were, and didn't... More

We were a party of six...5 meals came out. We were told that they were out of crab to fulfill the sixth meal. This is after waiting 40 minutes for the food to get to the table. The sixth meal was reordered and delivered 25 minutes later. The manager stopped by to apologize for the mistake but never returned to... More

We ate here tonight (11/23/14) and had the absolute worst meal we have EVER had at a restaurant. We were frequent diners here but hadn't been in a few months at least due to travel. We were disappointed to find they took the Shrimp Orleans but ordered soups (gumbo and chicken tortilla) and salads (shrimp and crab remoulade and chicken... More

Has gone downhill somewhat since Al Jr. took over for Sr. Need to lighten up on the seasoning. Good steaks and a good bar-b-q shrimp pasta. There are better places to eat in NOLA.
