We stopped by this place having seen it on triple D. The place was small, but had a great vibe. Our server was as nice as can be and very attentive. We both had the crawfish and artichoke soup which was wonderful. We shared an entree of fried catfish and ' tater tots - which proved to be the best... read more

I would recommend this place, not so much for the food - which was plentiful but mediocre. The atmosphere and the music is what's happening here and the band we heard was quite good. Unfortunately during the first set, the sound was way too loud but once the music got going (about 30 minutes after they started), the sound got... More

Meandering down the Mississippi levee I came across the perfect dive to watch the Superbowl game. I chanced upon one of New Orleans’ most unique establishments, the RiverShack. You will find cold drinks and live music with all the sass and pomp you would expect from a down-home Shack along River Road! You will also find authentic NOLA cuisine whipped... More

I eat here every trip to New Orleans. The trout is excellent as well as the rice and beans with sausage. This is not fine dining, but good down home cooking. Place is always packed and that's a testament to the food. Don't miss this place

We were there on a friday and the band that was playing was a ton of fun! Beer is cold and they have a great menu…always something interesting on special and the old favorites are always delicious!

This is closer to a honky tonk than a restaurant in that it is noisy and hopping. It is also a bar and they do have bands on occasions. Check ahead to see what is going on there before you go. It can be quite crowded.

Great fun place to go. Only wish I was younger to enjoy to it's fullest. Will be going back. I had the Oyster po boy, love the fried pickles. My wife had the Shrimp. Friendly staff.

Always visit when in New Orleans. I always get the Rustys Chicken sandwich and ask for sweet potato fries. The sandwich is huge and they pile the fries on the plate. They pile lots of cheese ranch and the usual veggies on. Come hungry if your getting the sandwich. Had onion rings appetizer and it was also a large serving.... More

Nestled in next to the river is this little gem. It has a fun atmosphere, good beer selection and a nice menu. It has the feel of a towny bar but has cleaned up nice to be a great stop.

We went early in a Saturday night, so the venue wasn't crowded by any means. There are three sets of double doors at the front, so the entry can be deceiving (left set). We weren't sure whether we could seat ourselves, but couldn't see any menus so we waited several minutes at the bar to request them. The service was... More
