I have been to Louisianna several times and in several different locations in Louisianna, but I have never eaten better food and their oysters are as good as they get! Gotta try Big Al's! more

I love, love, love this restaurant and I think I've had dreams about their food since I've moved away. If you are visiting the South and want authentic Cajun food from really nice people, Big Al's is the place to get it. This is the only restaurant that I INSIST on going to when I visit Houma. Local restaurant with a lot of local flavor. Paper towel rolls on the tables and a good selection of hot sauce. Draft beer was cold. It's the kind of place you would go after a ballgame. Waiters were friendly and the food great. Try the Big Al's Seafood Platter. more
