Just like mom's home cook meals. Weekly plate lunches are so delicious. Friendly waitresses. The place where are the locals go for a good hot meal

They were slammed on a Friday night so we waited a long, long time for our food. If they would have had wine in stock or asked us if we would have liked a glass of red wine they magically found for the table next to us my rating might be higher. The fried pickles have a nice light coating... More

The Char-Broiled oysters were to die for! I ate more than I thought was possible. I was there with a tour group and we were served a buffet. The red beans and rice was typically Cajun and delicious. I didn't think either gumbo was particularly good. The shrimp and pasta dish was delicious. And roast beef, corn and mashed potatoes... More

My grandmother loves this place. I always get the shrimp po-boy. There's nothing special about it. I liked the salad I got here one time. The staff is friendly. The restaurant has charm to it. It's kind of small.

We made a visit to Houma to see the Venice on the Bayou as the AAA book let us know. It has many bridges that are basically going over a ditch and there is only one visible river rolling along. We followed the recommendation from the book and the result was impressive as were the bridges. It was a warm... More

A very positive experience. The food was very good and the waitress was very attentive and friendly, with just the right touch of Cajun conviviality.

Definitely not fine dining! Cavernous room with plastic covered tabletops but the Cajun cooking was great! Try the pick 3 - catfish was superb, fried oysters and stuffed crab were very tasty - not greasy or overly breaded. Chicken sausage gumbo was just what we had hoped it would be! If you want authentic Cajun and don't care about ambiance,... More

Not totally our cup of tea, but take a breath and choose wisely and enjoy Houma & it's food. Waitress must have been related as she she looked and acted miserable.

We stopped here for lunch before a swamp tour. The restaurant is simply decorated but very clean, the service was excellent and they had a nice selection of local offerings one would expect at reasonable prices. You are best in ordering local dishes which we found to be tasty. They have an autographed picture of Oprah and clippings from Bon... More

A local place that received positive reviews. We found it to be unsatisfactory. The combination seafood plate was prepackaged deep fried food that was not very god, but expensive. Crawfish etoufee was bland.
