Description: Milano and Aficionados are located in the heart of Downtown Houma...
Milano and Aficionados are located in the heart of Downtown Houma, Louisiana. At Milano, our menu highlights traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, with a flare for other European and American influences. Our adjoining sister lounge, Aficionados, is open evenings and offers a full range of wines, beers, and premium liqueurs for our guest to chose from. We feature entertainment in both the restaurant and the lounge. In addition, we also offer a lighter, more economical weekday lunch service for our local business clientele. Went for dinner with a large group of colleagues after a conference in Houma. Service was great. The chef & owner came to the table to meet us. Everyone enjoyed their meal selections. The chef even customized a few menu items for some. We also enjoyed the 2 for 1 martini drink special for the day!

We finally went back to Milano. We haven't been since the name and atmosphere change. I love the bright white decor, hubby wasn't as taken as me. We had Oysters Lafourche and Bacon and Duck Bites. The later was absolutely yum! The oysters didn't have the same sauce we both remember, somewhat of a let down, but still very good.... More

We went to Café Milano the day after Valentine's day on Feb 15. Restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 6:30 and by the time we left it was not at capacity. Atmosphere was very romantic and food was very good. Although our server, Kenneth was very knowledgeable and friendly, he lacked attentiveness. It took a very long time... More

I visited in June during a work trip to Houma, and there are two things that stood out from my dinner experience--divine roasted oysters and slow service. The roasted oysters were so good that they have completely overridden my memory regarding whatever entree I ordered and ate. I was never an oyster fan regardless of preparation style, but Milano has... More

I almost forgot I was in Houma. Milano is an urban oasis in the middle of the Deep South. Loved the brick walls and stark white chairs. Busy on a Tuesday night is always a good sign! Extensive wine list. I ordered the duck kabobs. Scrumptious. The black and blue salad was delightful. The peanut butter pie was sinful.

Upon arriving the decor and furniture was lacking. Server did not know his menu or wines. Food was good though the $22 shrimp, pasta and vegetables dish had 3 shrimp. The pasta tasted freshly made and vegetables were cooked perfectly. Husband and I shared an app., he had steak, I had shrimp pasta and two bottles of house wine; bill... More

The Cafe Milano has been completely remodeled on the inside. It is bright and vibrant. You can read the menu without a flashlight. ! The menu has been reduced, no more wood grilled pizza but the food is still great. Plans are being made to close the short street in front of the restaurant and put tables there, that would... More

This is a place that you might want to save for a special event. The food is very good, but hold on to your wallet.Last time I was there, we ordered a bottle of bubbly that put the bill in the atmosphere! Good thing we split the bill with some really good friends.
