Pretty Good

We got a cheeseburger poboy, shrimp poboy, a club sandwich and a grilled chicken salad. Portions were big and food was good. The only thing wrong was that the fried shrimp had the faint taste of bacon. I know they have bacon wrapped shrimp (I dont get them anymore since I got some undercooked... read more

Our waitress was the best. She made us feel like her family. We really enjoyed the food. A little pricey, but it's not often that we do this kind of vacation. It was a real treat for our kids.

Our fishing guide in Dularge recommended Big Al's for a good fried fish meal and it did not disappoint. If you have the appetite, get the Big Al's Platter. Its a beast and all the fish (crab, catfish, oysters and shrimp) were all cooked perfectly. Also, i would recommend the crab soup and the bacon wrapped shrimp.... oh and wash... More

Stopped in for lunch. The dinning area was clean, and our server was very friendly. The seafood platter was great. The catfish was very good. The poor boy was very good-but it was on hogie bread not French bread. The fried pickles were great. We will come back again.

1st visit. Huge portions. Great taste. Gumbo was heaven. Seafood platter is enough for 2. It is a little pricey but you def get your money's worth there.

We arrived in Houma, LA after a 1200 mile car trip. Big Al's was recommended to us as a good place to experience Cajun cooking. Great choice! At the suggestion of our waitress Rebecca, we had our first taste of crawfish and appetizer of crab fingers. Also enjoyed a platter of fried catfish, shrimp and oysters, plus baked potato stuffed... My husband and I went here and the waitress suggested we try the crab fingers, for an appetizer, she said they were really good and she was right. The dipping sauce was very good but don't try and bite thru them because they have the membrain ( I guess that's what they call it) that all crab claws have. Very... More

Stopped here on the way to a fishing trip in south Louisiana and was not disappointed. Great atmosphere, service, and a large selection of seafood dishes. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if your visiting Houma or just passing through.

This was a pretty good restaurant. I thought they were a little pricey , however the portions were large. I had the fried oysters . There were about two dozen nicely fried . though the menu consisted of a great deal of fried food there was non fried foods also. . We were a party of 20 plus and our... More
