Excellent Cajun cooking

If you're in Houma, put this on your must-try list. Excellent red snapper and country-fried steak. Vidalia onion rings were delicious! Our first beignets were also a hit.

For a Southern, Cajun, & seafood specialized restaurant, this place was horrible. Stuffed crabs tasted like they were premade, frozen, then heated up when ordered; you can buy better quality stuffed crabs at Sam's. Chicken fried steak was not tender, but white gravy was good. Onion rings were incredibly thin; not sure if there was any onion inside the batter.... More

Welcome to cajun country! I love a place that has charm and comfort and southern hospitality and this place has all the above. There is nothing pretentious going on here. They have a nice variety of apps, entrees and desserts. Prices were reasonable especially the $1.99 side items. Things we enjoyed: Fried crayfish balls( cant rem the exact name) crab... More

Well, for a place that prides itself on Cajun and southern cooking... I expected the best po boy I've ever had. Didn't happen. It was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Hardly any meat on it. Bad gravy. And i believe the bread was old. It had a nice atmosphere and bunches of b&t jokes everywhere to read.... More

Just ran across this place going back to new orleans. It was clean, & staff were friendly. First time for alligator bites, quite tasty. LOVED the crawfish ettoufe!!

We were passing through and wanted to try some Cajun food. It was very hard to find, but well worth the stop. The service was a bit slow because they were jammed, but that was expected. Food was excellent and the prices were very good.

We are here in Louisiana to do a Habitat for Humanity Build and the RV Park, Louisiana Pride Campground is where we are parked. The camp host told us about the restaurant and said they have excellent alligator, well I'm not ready to try that yet. Did do crawfish, so far being here, but not sucking the heads yet. Anyway,... Stopped in for lunch. Nice looking place, clean and good service. They had chargrilled oyster so tried them. No comparison to them ones we had at Acme Oyster House. These were not as fresh and the sauce was not as good. Poor boy was fine.

I guess that crawfish weren't too bad. But the corn and potatoes are now extra! Fine-but they were SPOILED! Never industry the food was rotten and moldy - you know how potatoes get. But when you go to spend money and the bill is $100 PLUS tip, you don't want a waitress with a surly rude attitude! Went last year... More

The look of this restaurant makes you want to see what it is all about. But the food is pretty much ho hum. Not bad, just nothing that would make me come back again for the food.
