Being a local, this was my third visit to Griffin's for lunch. The first two occasions were below average so this third visit was a favor to a relative's request. We sat in a booth, the waitress was prompt and she took our orders. I was a tad apprehensive about this restaurant because the first two visits were bad experiences... More

Took some friends from out of town in here for poboys and were so disappointed. The poboys were "subs" and were not on real poboy bread. Cold poboys are subs.

Went to Houma to visit Mom, and do a little shopping. She was in the mood for a "good hamburger", and wanted to go to Griffin's. Good call! Her burger came made of fresh ingredients , and cooked exactly as she asked. She and I both prefer thin cut, fresh onion rings...perfect! I had the fried Pork finger plate, crisp,... More

Don't go in a rush to eat and leave because it takes a little while to get your food during the lunch/supper rush, but it is worth the wait. Tastes like everything is freshly prepared in your cajun mamma's kitchen!!

Took my parents to eat there for the first time because my husband and I knew the food was good and the portions are generous. They loved it too.

Griffins was recommended at the best lunchtime facility around, a premise that was certainly supported by the crowded parking lot and dining area. Seats for my party of three were available without much of a wait, and even with the nearly "full house" the noise level was comfortable. Servers were available in a reasonable amount of time and the drink... More

I had a crawfish poboy for lunch, with ice tea. Poboy was overflowing with crawfish, which I like, breaded just right and well seasoned. $21.00 for poboy, tea and tip is a little pricey IMO.

We left Nola to see what we could discover outside of new Orleans and found the town of houma, which is very nice. We stopped at griffins in the middle of the afternoon, it wasn't busy and food was good. They prepared my shrimp the way I ordered plus the stuffed potato hit it off. They were out of red... More
