The boiled seafood, especially the crabs are the best. The fried seafood is also great. The wild animal displays are very interesting, especially for children
This is the real deal. Best seafood around including the great city of new orleans. Don't go anywhere else!
Folks from Baltimore know the deal - But this is New Orleans version of a crab house, plain and simple. Spare and bare - because the food is the attraction. Boiled shrimp, fried crab claws and the freshest raw oysters, corn on the cob, and tasty gumbo - with lots of hot sauce and horseradish to wash it all it... More
This is the place where you get baskets fried of catfish, shrimp, and what I just call alligator Mc nuggets. But, if you want to really get real with your food, you get some of the boiled fare. We are talking crab shoulders & legs, shrimp, and a whole mess o' craw fish. This is a 10 napkin meal, at... More
Very familiar with the store we always get our crawfish sacks, fish, etc.. Form the store. We knew of the restaurant with the big alligator and crawfish in front but have never tried eating there. One side for gaming devices and the other side are tables or can sit at the counter. The decor is basic and clean. The mounted... More
We had a great very casual meal at Perino's. Loved the boiled crawfish and crawfish boudin were great too. The extensive taxidermy collection on the walls was odd. Great price, great eats.
Stopped in with my husband and another couple for a late dinner on a weeknight. The guys shared some crawfish which they said was just ok. The boiled shrimp was tough. Fried oysters were ok. The place is pricey for what you get considering the menu is small, the inside leaves much to be desired, and the food is eh.
Perino's Boiling Pot is a place a came across in '11 when I was in New Orleans. This is what I would describe as a local type of place with friendly people and great crawfish. Its not a fancy place but who wants fancy when your eating crawfish anyway! I am now back in New Orleans and just went to... More
some of the best seafood for the price on the westbank. had fried oyster plate, large gumbo, and mixed drink for less than $30.00 including tip.
I first came here in 2000 and haven't had a chance to stop again until this year. The place has changed a little but the food is still great. I always eat at the bar since I'm usually alone (business travel) and the girl behind the bar is a charm. I've never wanted for service. All the employees are great.... More
