Hidden gem

We has a group of 35 and they had a room in the back ready for us. The food and service were awesome. Our family had fish tacos, gumbo, blackened shrimp pasta and a kids cheese pizza. All were great. It's in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you. Visit this restaurant if you're in Harvey.

Don't be fooled by the strip mall location, modest décor and casual crowd. The food is the attraction here. We started with the seafood gumbo. It was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The bowl portions were so large that we shared an individual crawfish pizza. It too was really tasty and substantive enough for two people. Our waitress was very pleasant... More

My bride and I are addicted to charbroiled oysters. We have tried them in many places in the N.O. area. We liked many of them, loved some of them, and shocked by how good a few were---the oysters at this location are shockingly great ! Add Seafood gumbeaux (their spelling), top-notch po'boys, excellent catfish AND reasonable prices, and you have... More

Upon arriving I noticed the lunch rush was still on even after 1pm. The pricing sort of makes you hesitant, but the portions made us toss caution to the wind. We started with the VooDoo rolls; darn good! An oyster po-boy was ordered for one party member while the other two shared a hefty seafood sampler of fish, oysters, shrimps,... More

Great food at a great price. The swamp pasta was so rich and flavorful And hush puppies melt in your mouth.

Voo Doo Rolls delivered as advertised. I had the Abita Amber in the large frosty glass schooner, also delicious. The wait staff was very pleasant. My entree however, lacked... something. I had Blackened Tuna Lafayette (8 oz. tuna blackened and topped with pasta lafayette). I'm no expert on Cajun cuisine, but I've had some really good blackened tuna in New... More

Only stayed in Harvey rather than NOLA because a Convention was in Town and rooms were way too high there. Anyway came here and was fairly pleased. Their chargrilled oysters are EVERY bit as good as Dragos...outstanding! My Wife had fish (redfish I believe) with a seafood pasta and it too was pretty good. However I had a Muffuletta and... More

Located in a strip mall and nothing outstanding from the outside. Was there on a VERY busy Friday night and had about a 20 minute wait. Lots of families and large groups.Sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple beverages while we waited. Was seated at right about 20 minutes and even though they were swamped our waitress was super... OK, so its in a strip mall. it is underwhelming from the outside but its what's inside that counts. right? the service is great - professional yet friendly. prices are quite reasonable. drinks aren't the best - but they're cheap. and most important, the food is very good. great lunch time specials ( one of which is rabbit! ). whenever... While visiting friends on the West Bank we stopped in for early lunch and we were amazed that the food was even better than we remembered. The crawfish corn soup is amazing as always but the crawfish voodoo pizza was awesome. The mixture of the crawfish and cheeses was spot on and the crust was light and crispy. Shrimp and... More
