Change of Name

This restaurant is now called "La Providencia" but not much else has changed. Still has good food. I loved the fajitas. The enchiladas have a mole sauce and their salsa has some spice to it. They some of the best flan I have ever tasted.

The food was average and the place has been open about three months. Our waitress did not seem to know too much about the food, even though she was of Hispanic descent. I ordered a Marguerita (expensive for what it was at $9) without salt and sent it back when it arrived with salt round the rim and it tasted... More

Great pupusas and more. Not much for ambiance... Just really good Central American chow at pretty nice prices.

We stopped in for dinner based on favorable on-line reviews. The place will seat lots of diners, but at 7:00pm on a Thursday, it was just us, another couple, and a man with two kids. And they all of them had been fed long before our wait for food passed the 30-minute mark. And mind you, all we were waiting... More

The restaurant is in a small house out on a dusty country road. The food is terrific and worth a trek to Lubbock to try. Lucky us: we have had TWO graduation parties there, great setting.

I love this place! The staff has ALWAYS been friendly and displayed a great sense of humor. The food is fantastic. You can't go wrong with the pupusas or the yucca con chicharon. Also, try a paloma.

Pupusas are great, prices are pretty good too. Friendly staff, be sure to ask questions if you've never had this type of food.

We liked the service a lot. The food was good but not fantastic. A lot of bread and carbs. Great salsa and chips though.

Central American dishes are the best things on the menu. The pupusas, tamales, and plantains are great. Tres Leche also good. {Dessert} Don't forget to try one of their fruit drinks. Great value. Owner and staff really nice.
