Cute little historic place. Not a large place but some of the best food I have ever eaten. Prices very good for all the food you get. My husband and I had the chicken breast stuffed with crawfish dressing and crawfish etouffee over the top, mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread, tea for $16.95 each. It turned out to be two chicken... We stumbled across the Grapevine Cafe and we're very glad we did. This is a hidden gem located in the small town of Donaldsonville. Great ambiance, great food, great service. I had the herb encrusted grilled chicken served over angel hair pasta. Delicious. My husband had crawfish pie. Also delicious. The salads are very good. Be sure you try the... More

Went to the grapevine for lunch with coworkers from the area. They don't have a lunch menu so the portions are larger than normal for a mid-day meal as are the prices. Cost for four was just over $100, including deserts. The food was excellent. I had fish of the day (redfish) topped with crab au gratin. It was grilled... More

This is our favorite restaurant! We love the bread and dipping sauce and have had everything on the menu over time. Excellent food consistently. Great service and great prices for the quality. Hands down one of the best restaurants we have found. My husband loves the steaks! We have only been to dinner but intend to make it for breakfast/brunch... More

Headed out to tour the Nottoway Plantation and wanted something different for lunch. Our tour guide recommended grapevine. It was great about a 10 minute ride from the plantation and worth the trip. Our server was friendly and knew her menu. She made great recommendations. We had the gumbo and turtle soup to start. My mate loved the turtle soup... More

This is a great destination restaurant if you are in Baton Rouge or even New Orleans and visiting the plantations. I visited with two friends who loved their meals. I had the grilled fish of the day which was redfish. Cooked to perfection and a very large piece of fish. One friend had the crab cake appetizer. It was delicious... More

We are staying at Nottoway Plantation and wanted somewhere different to eat ... the hotel recommended the Grapevine so we gave it a go. The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside, but it's pleasant inside and the staff are friendly, helpful and informative. As for the food ... good choice, very good quality and very good value. I don't... More

My husband saw that this little place was given excellent reviews, so we decided to try it. Overall, the atmosphere, the food, & the service were all excellent. They had a good lunch crowd for a Sunday. On the walls there are paintings for sale by a local artist, Alvin Batiste, who does a lot of "folk art" of the... More
