Group of 8 Celebration dinner 01/29

We had a group of 4 couples gathered for dinner in the wine room (back corner) for an awards dinner of sorts last Friday night. Everyone's food was excellent and at least some of what we had included : Seared scallops, Osso Buco, a Steelhead trout special (fabulous), a Risotto, several mushroom... read more

While remodeling our house and staying at Camellia House B&B, I ate at every restaurant in town. A clear favorite was and is Del Porto. I tasted a pasta long ago on my first visit before they moved to their current location. I exclaimed to our waitress that it tasted like my favorite pasta at Tra Vigne in Napa Valley.... More

Found this place by accident when looking for a late lunch restaurant. We were the only patrons there since it was after 2:00 p.m. We had the pork belly sandwich and it was good, but the dirty martini was delicious and just what we needed after a long morning.

This restaurant was very pricey. If you are in to fru fru places where you pay because they have white linen tablecloths, you will love this place. My husband was going to order a steak and asked what came with it. The waiter pointed to the menu and said "That." That was onions and other garnishes. He refused to order.... More

Del Porto has come to be our go-to restaurant in Covington. It consistently offers fresh, delicious, creative, seasonal and healthy menu items. The service is very good as well. As for appetizers, my dining companion and I cannot resist the Involtini. The bean and artichoke purée is delightful too, as are the oysters. For entrees, the fish special is always... More

Really good food at a great price, the wait wasn't long and the waiter was pretty cool. I'd recommend to anyone looking for some good Mexican. I'll be back.

Del Porto is our favorite restaurant on the Northshore of New Orleans. Always an interesting, ever-changing menu, great ambiance, albeit a little noisy, but exhibiting a good "buzz." Love the white bean and artichoke dip, always a good choice for the table of four. Duck confit with pasta one of best anywhere. Affogato dessert is my wife's favorite dessert. Attentive,... More

ate their only twice. food is excellent. having been back because my family of 9 break me in order to feed them. they go for the most expensive things on the menu. a $300-$400 restaurant bill is hard to digest, even if its worth it. but, the food is outstanding

This is an upscale restaurant with fine foods, drinks and a wonderful ambience. White linens and candles make it a great date destination or special occasion (new private dining room) place for small gatherings. People also spend a lot of times sitting at the bar for drinks and appetizers. They have 'happy hour' during the week days (i forget what... More
