Just commenting on a previous review. Its terrible that a person can give this restaurant one "star" based solely upon the fact that its not open on mondays. This says nothing about their food or service... The things that matter when dining out. Trip advisor should remove the aforementioned review, as it is unnecessary and skews overall ratings

We have eaten in many Italian restaurants over the years, in Florence, Napoli, and especially Toronto which has a large Italian population and numerous fine Italian Restaurants. However, my wife and I (she is of Italian background and is an excellent cook/chef in her own right) both agreed that the food served at the Del Porto is exceptional and as... More

A little loud in the main dining area. They do have a separate room that has two, two person tables and at least 4 seat table that is much quieter. Suggest reservations and asking for that room if you want a quieter night out experience. Wait staff was wonderful and the NY Strip was out of this world!

We called ahead to ask if there was a quiet corner, so we wouldn't disturb other diners with our newborn baby. They were very accommodating and seated us in their wine cellar room! It was quiet for us AND for their other diners. They also listened carefully to some specific diet restrictions and new mom had a carefully prepared meal.... More

Del Porto is one of the best restaurants on the Northshore. The atmosphere is very lively and the Southern Italian fare is outstanding. You can sit at the bar, the beautifully decorated dining room, or even at the sidewalk tables. The appetizers are my favorite. Try the Pork Belly and Gulf Shrimp or the Beef Carpaccio. For an entre, try... More

I can not say enough of Del Porto. I felt like I was in the city of New Orleans instead of the small city of Covington. This town needed this fresh, today's foodie generation of a restaurant. Very uptown and downtown. High points for all aspects of ratings. I have lived all over the country and also worked in many... More

The place is very nice inside when you walk in. The decor is really charming. Staff seem to have an attitude where they think it's a 5 star restaurant. It's not. The food is okay and we found some dishes even salty. Over priced for what you get. It is not wow I have to come back. Nice wine list... More

My husband and I were traveling for business and stopped in Covington for the night. Today is our anniversary and we asked the desk attendants for dinner suggestions. She said Del Porto was the best. We found out they were closed. Small businesses wonder why the chain restaurants are dominating and this is the reason. The chain restaurants will always... More

Del Porto has unusual dishes so if you prefer a less creative menu you might not like the choices! I loved my panini w/ shrimp and arugula - delicious!
