Wonderful food, great service

Was lured in after seeing it served Crabmeat Brie soup (in my mind it seemed like a bisque - I'm not sure of the technical differances). Absolutely wonderful! My granddaughter has now had the Gumbo in 7 local restaurants, most up-scale, and this was rated the second best. I had the scallops over a... read more

I believe I have had more meals at Dakota than any other restaurant in the various cities I have either traveled to or lived in. This is my "Cheers" and it's because of their consistent excellent dishes, creative menu selections, outstanding staff, and comfortable environment. A trip to Dakota should be on everyone's list if they are ever in the... More

This was our first visit and will definitely not be out last. By far one of the best meals I've ever eaten and for the price I thought it was extremely reasonable. Atmosphere was awesome. Service was outstanding Blaine was our waiter and his attention to respect and customer service was over the top. You will not be disappointed!

I've lived up the street from this place for the past 6 months and never noticed it until I was invited there for a business lunch in December. The food was excellent! Went back yesterday for another business lunch and I was absolutely blown away by the Pan Sauteed Amandine Fish.... OMG! This was the best prepared fish dish I... More

What a great introduction to fine Louisiana cuisine in this charming, upscale restaurant. The staff and service couldn't have been better. The food was out of this world. Don't miss it!!

Recent Christmas lunch with a group of 8 women. Our waiter Mark, could not have been more knowledgeable or patient in explaining dishes. Many of us had dined @ Dakota before and ordered the crab and brie soup, Fantastic ! The lunch menu offers many options from a full hot meal to excellent salads and a nice array of appetizers.... Enjoyed an outstanding meal while celebrating a special night with my wife. Relaxed ambiance, great service. Lamb nachos, sesame seared ahi tuna for starters, the soft shell crab for entree' and a nice bottle of wine made for wonderful evening. Great place for a special evening or for just a great meal.

Have eaten here a number of times, and each has been wonderful. Great selection on the menu, which varies during the year. Some of the best food, we've eaten. Great wine selection. Staff is professional, thorough and very courteous. The chef has some wonderful menu items, and the desserts are incredible. If in town, be sure to stop.

Had a wonderful anniversary lunch. I was disappointed that they no longer have liver and onions on the menu, but the redfish was outstanding as was the service and ambiance.
