We went to Chimes for a Gym Reunion for my husband. There were at least 20 people in attendance. For such a large crowd the service was good and the food delicious.

Al at the Clarion told us about this place. We arrived in our Alabama clothes and drew some looks but everything was fine. We were seated immediately and placed our order. My wife got a shrimp poboy and i had raw oysters and gumbo. On Tuesday night they are half off. The food was good and the servers were knowledgeable... More

If you want a place that has great food and a relaxing environment then Chimes is the place for you. Sitting on the back deck enjoying the company of friends or family and enjoying the natural outdoor environment, while having drinks and eating yummy food, can only leave you with a rested and happy feeling when you leave. Would definitely... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. This is an awesome bar with an amazingly large amount of beers on tap as well as a wonderful bottled selection. If you add together the restaurant, the bar, the great outside seating you are looking at one awesome evening! Nestled away in Covington on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, this is an upscale... More

From the outside, The Chimes looks like a really nice restaurant, so we wanted to check it out while in town for the weekend with our child. Turned out, it's really a sports bar with sports bar food with tons of televisions, which works great if you're into sports bars. We just desired more of a family-friendly atmosphere. Poor kiddo... Great beer and poboys. Much newer than The Chimes in Baton Rouge, same great quality of food but more on the seafood end of the spectrum than the burger end. Great food!!!! Great Oysters

This crowded spot has long waits for a table. But on a recent trip we had 16 in our group. The food was surprisingly good and came out of kitchen surprisingly quickly. One year earlier the food was a disappointment. It is good to see a place improve.

This is your place if you want great food, a place to bring friends and have a beer (hundreds to choose from) or watch a sporting event with the multitude of TV's playing. There is great outdoor seating that has a cool dock leading to the Bogue Falaya River. Favorite is the Blackened Salmon Sandwich....YUM.!

We have been to Chimes on several occasions. They have good burgers (be sure to tell them the temperature you'd like it cooked) and salads. I love the Caesar Salad with blackened shrimp. It is a nice atmosphere - a little loud but it is a really big place with lots of people (not sure how you quiet that). Lovely... More

We arrived late to attend a wedding from out of town, only to realize that most all restaurants had closed down. The suggestion from a few locals was to give Chimes a try, and we were delighted we did! The atmosphere & chemistry of the restaurant was outstanding. A very comfortable feel. They have gone to great lengths to provide... More
