Best atmosphere and lots of beer on tap!

This place has over 150 beers on tap. The back of the restaurant has outdoor seating on the deck and walkways through the woods to the river. We arrived here after 10 hours in the car and it was the perfect setting for the kids in our group to run around out back while we waited for our table... read more

My wife and I were vacationing in the area and were told of this great place with a lot of beers on tap- needless to say we tried a sampler and it was great. Had lunch here, 2 different kinds of Gumbo, both good. My wife had the Red Beans and rice and I had the Catfish Special, Blackened with... More

Very popular dining experience in Covington, Louisiana that can handle a large number of people with a great dining experience. Dining casually or formally is acceptable here. It has wonderful outside dining on the deck by the Bogue Falaya river overseeing natures beauty of semi swamp land.

Great blackened shrimp salad with remoulade sauce dressing. Asked for it on the side and it was just the right amount. They even offered it as spinach, romaine, or a combo of both. Terrific. Great hangout to boot. Free wifi as well clean bathrooms. A little slow to get the check but ok

Not wanting to stand in long lines in the French Quarter, we returned to our hotel in Covington. On a whim decided to try Chimes. It was packed and we were told it would be an hour wait. However, the drink menu is quite extensive so we decided to wait and enjoy a drink. To our surprise, we were seated... More

We bring visiting family here everytime. Always a wait for dinner, but that tells you something right? The staff hustles like no place else, you'll see them all zipping back and forth. The menu offers a nice variety of items, and everything we've tried has been good. A few of our appetizer favorites are the fried mushrooms, hot wings, and... More

Anytime we are in Covington we go to The Chimes. The wait can be a bit long but the service is good and the food is outstanding. The seafood lasagna is absolutely delicious!

Great bar for drinks and dinner. Very good variety of beers and seafood. I recommend their oyster over any other place in the area. The restaurant is very busy, they don't take resevations and is hard to get in after 6 PM. The bar is easy to get in and you get better service than in regular tables.

Chimes has heaps of beer and heaps of real live wildlife. Also a great place to watch the NBA finals and if you don't know what you want to eat just order every appetizer, they are awesome. Cheers, Joe

From the exterior Chimes has the look of a more elegant steakhouse. It isn’t. When you step inside your realize this is a more casual place, essentially a large sports bar atmosphere. The interior is large, open and rustic, essentially one large room with a very high ceiling with open rafters. Although there are large TV screens everywhere, the place... More
