Recently visited the Sala Thai restaurant in Covington. Having just joined Weight Watchers, I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious choices that were available to those trying to eat within the points guidelines. The Tom Yum chicken soup was spicy and flavorful. The chicken satay was a generous portion for an appetizer served with two dipping sauces and the presentation... More

The owners and staff aim to please...has a great buffet everyday...so yummy and so reasonable. The screened in porch is always my favorite place to sit. It is just a minute away from the Southern Hotel!

My son & his wife ate there recently & enjoyed the freshness of the food. There was even a porch area on the side where they could sit to eat. A good value.

After a very long work day- decided to try this THAI place at 10 minutes til 9p. They close at 9p. Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and Veggies, the cashew chicken and the special fried rice. We were delighted and shocked at how well the food was prepared, the robust taste and size of the portions. We ordered for... More

This quaint little restaurant is relaxing and the food is excellent! The buffet during lunch is also very good and inexpensive. Try the Thai Tea!

There are New owners. The food is not as fresh or tasty. We tried this restaurant twice, but will not return. We are sad to see our once favorite weekly restaurant so changed.

Me and my lady friend went here on a limb. I'd never tried Thai and she was a vegetarian, this made sense. Well this was our second date and she came from uptown to meet me so it was kinda important. I ordered green curry and she ordered some vegi garbage, don't know because I'm a man and don't pay... More

I often eat at this restaurant. The food is very good as is the staff. The lunch buffet is very reasonable and offers a good selection. This is not a normal buffet. There are about 5 main courses that change daily, a soup or two, a salad, and a few appetizers. There is no desert on the buffet but it... More

My husband and I went for lunch after visiting the Abita Springs Mystery House. The restaurant is clean and they have a 7.95 lunch buffet plus a la carte menu. Staff was very friendly. There is a free public parking a few feet from the restaurant.

We had a one night stay in Covington, LA on our way from Texas to Florida. We chose Sala Thai based on the recommendations at Tripadvisor. To stay on the conservative side, my wife and I have ordered the cashew chicken. For our 7 years old son, chicken tenders. To our utter surprise and disappointment, all three dishes contained the...
