I am picky about Barbecue. I am not fanatic and I appreciate the different "directions" barbecue can take. This barbecue is AWESOME. We both had chopped on home made buns. The meat was flavorful and just smoky enough. There was minimal sauce and it was not too sweet. The sauce had a vinegar base with just the right balance of... More

This place is literally located in the middle of nowhere. During fieldwork my co-workers and myself happened upon this gem. Everyone was pleased with their meals and we have since been back multiple times. I ordered the sliced brisket on a homemade roll (it is only 10 cents more than the store bought bun). It is a la carte and... More

A good ham is hard to come by these days. My son was going to school at Northwestern in Natchitoches many years ago. When he came home as a freshman for Thanksgiving he brought a Grayson's ham home with him. For Thanksgiving we had, as usual, more food than any other meal all year long. Everyone brought their speciality, from... More

When my husband's Uncle died his work gave him a ham from Graysons. Best ham we have ever had. Could not stop nibbling. Brought some to work and everybody wanted some and wanted me to bring more. Am ordering another for Thanksgiving and Christmas The bone is the best thing for making beans. Hope they are around for quite a... More

If you want a chip sandwich on a homemade bun, ribs cut as singles, ham, or beef....you will likely be happy. Extras are beans and potato salad, chips in a bag, and can drinks.....don't expect more regarding food or drink and you will be ok. If a 50 year old dive atmosphere bothers you, drive on by......if you think this... More

I have to start off by saying the ribs were excellent. That's the only thing we enjoyed there. The beans - forget it. Straight out of a pork & bean can with some bbq sauce poured in them. No spice, no meat, no onion, bell pepper. Nothing. What a disappointment! Hubby had the rib plate and I had the combo... More

This place is delicious and well worth the trip. I've had the Chip Sandwich, ribs, baked beans & potato salad. All of it was great and prices were very low. The baked beans are smoky and savory - not sweet like most store-bought baked beans. The rib plate was huge (enough for 2 full meals for me) and their BBQ... More

For as long as I can remember, Grayson's was THE PLACE to get your hams for the holidays. It's located in the unlikely little community of Clarence, Louisiana. (watch your speed!) The place isn't fancy, but the food is consistently good, and the smell makes you hungry from the first second your nose catches a whiff of the air outside!... More

We've tried everything on the menu here and the best thing is the sliced pork on the homemade bun. It's good enough to warrant a special trip. The homemade bun is great--light, soft and chewy with a faint yeast taste. The barbeque sauce is a thin vinegary tomato based sauce--we love it, but if you like a sweet thick sauce,... More

We traveled to Grayson's BBQ when we were visiting Natchitoches, it is about a 15 minute drive from Natchitoches. We heard it was "the best BBQ around". We had the chip sandwich (a combo of rib tips, pork pieces, and brisket ends) on a homemade roll. The sandwich was pretty good and the roll was amazing. We also ordered a... More
