Great Sunday Lunch

Cleverly redeveloped and extended country pub. Very well run with friendly and competent staff. Loads of inside space and some outside tables, although these are next to the car park so not a terribly attractive outlook. Food was good quality and fairly generous portions.

Decided to go here for Sunday lunch. We were shown to our table and given menus but had to wait around 20 mins at least before anyone appeared to take our order, and even then my husband had to go to the bar to request someone. There were 3 tables in the restaurant with people on, thats all, so wasn't... More

The restaurant is modern and well furnished. The service was good, but not too hot on Gluten Free options. The starters were expensive and small given the price of £8 for three tempura prawns and the bed of salsa was ordinary. Two of the four main courses were acceptable. The plaice was small and rather tough, the fish and chips... More

Visited Rockingham Arms for the first time on Saturday- found via trip advisor and thought the place look perfect. Despite ringing on Saturday afternoon I managed to get a table and I am so glad I did! What a gem of a place, I only wish I had visited sooner. We were served by Kat who was excellent and very... Enjoyed a great lunch here in early June, 2015. Food was very, very good, and the service by Andy and Geenie was superb. Very helpful, pleasant and all around great servers. The food was well prepared, creative and done as it should be. Other diners seemed to be enjoying themselves, too, on the sunny outside terrace/patio, and indoors with us... More

Booked this last minute for lunch and was not disappointed. The welcome from the staff was refreshing, we were seated and drinks ordered promptly. The food was delicious and the menu caters for all tastes. The surroundings are homely and interesting at the same time. Families are very welcome here and the gardens are lovely. Will return.
