It was lovely to walk into a pub with atmosphere not plastic, everyone friendly and great to meet the family too. This brings back memories of how it used to be. The steak was lovely, and ooooo the treacle tart well..... it certainly was how mum used to make. Well done guys and thank you again, will pop back from... More

good service shame about the food though, sausages were as tough as old boots swimming in watery gravy .sea food platter came on a grubby wooden board and not very nice except the salmon. The staff were very pleasant though.

Good afternoon Avril, May we take this opportunity to thank you for your evaluation – we are a little concerned as to your experience here at The Rockingham Arms. Nothing was discussed with any of our team here (from chefs to all front of house team), who have no recollection of having sausages on our menu this past week? The... More

If The Rockingham were an airline I would have frequent flyer points and if The Rockingham were my football club I would definitely have a season ticket! Every time I have been impressed with my visits here, staff and service is always top notch and the chefs on the stoves certainly know how to weave their magic with the various... More

We were really pleased when this place was refurbished, (looks lovely) we have been several times now. The menu is not cheap but neither expensive. The menu is changed on a regular basis which I like. Good food, clean, welcoming and nice atmosphere oh and fizz by the glass. Well done, what more could you ask for .

The experience didn't start off very well, as I was meeting friends and had to go in alone, which would have been alright if it wasn't for 5 or 6 loud presumably locals either side of the walkway, they stopped talking when I approached and then watched me walking in, a few minutes later another friend came to join us... Happened to find this place on our way down to Southampton (thanks to a road sign) while hunting for lunch. The service was fantastic, they really did everything they could to serve our needs. The food was genuine and terrific. Their menu is in the higher price range but I definitely found the food and service worth every single penny.... More

We booked from the website. The refurb has really done the place proud and I think people should give the owners a chance to settle. The waitrons we had couldn't have been more helpful. We were early for our table they sat us in the bar where we browsed the menus, when all the guests arrived we were sat by... More

We planned to visit the pub with friends and checked on your advice. We found it completely wrong. Food was well presented and hot My egg fried at the last minute. Our waitress was very efficient and full of enthusiasm. Not huge potions but who wants that. Our little dog was welcome too. Did not find the meals over priced.

We visited the Rockingham Arms last Saturday for a family lunch. Hadn't been there for years but heard it was under new management. The place had had a complete overhaul and looked very nice. The food was fine, nothing exceptional but fine. We did feel the meals for overpriced and decided not to have a dessert there at we felt... More
