Had lunch here for my Mother's birthday. While she seemed to really enjoy her meal of crabmeat in butter, I was was slightly disappointed with my choices. We started by trying a new appetizer called crabbies, which was toasted bread with their crab stuffing on top. I found it to have a little to much butter. I ordered the oysters... More

I try to go to this restaurant anytime I am in Lafayette. The food is delicious! This time I had the crayfish platter, and it did not disappoint. The corn/crayfish chowder was delicious, as were all the other crayfish dishes. The servings are huge-you'll have a doggy bag.

I have eaten here several times. My favorites are the Corn & Crab Bisque, the Shrimp & Catfish Pirogue (best Cajun dish I have ever had, anywhere!) and the sweet potato beignets. The atmosphere is rustic and friendly.

This was my first visit to the restaurant to meet one of my vendors. After checking out the Yelp reviews, it appeared to be one of the better restaurants in the area. First of all, it is no the easiest spot to see. We were looking directly out it and did not realize it was the restaurant. Maybe it was... More

It was good, not great. The wait was over 30 min, but the bar was available. We got the seafood platter for appetizer and it was a nice variety. The restaurant was super busy, so the service wasn't outstanding. It was expensive, too. The best part was the bread pudding for dessert.

I had some business visitors in town from Australia. They wanted to have some authentic local cuisine without getting caught in a tourist trap. The first thing that came to mind was Riverside. This was definitely the right choice. My guests really enjoyed the variety of food as well as the rustic setting of the place. I also enjoyed the... More

Wow, Cajun and non-traditional Cajun inspired cuisine. The Crawfish Dinner had Crawfish prepared 8 different ways, each one a gem. My wife had the Crab Imperial which was amazing. The Gumbo was rick and dark with just the right bite. Local say, that if could only have one meal before leaving forever - this is the spot!

Yes, the wait is long. But, I'd wait twice as long if I had to. It's that good! A unique and amazing place, just be sure and save room for the bread pudding! It may be the single best dessert I've ever eaten!! Can't wait to return!

I would give it a 5 star, however the wait time can be lengthy. My personal favorite is the Seafood Salad, however without the salad dressing. Also, any seafood dish is great. I have eaten here many times and highly recommend it.

Nine people in our party on a crowded Sunday at lunch and the food and service could not have been better. Patti was an amazing server. We had everything we wanted but we never felt like she was hovering. Riverside's seafood is as good as anyone's. It is a little pricey buy you get what you pay for so it's... More
