Went on a Friday night when we were in town visiting a friend. The place was PACKED and it was good we called ahead and put our names on the list for a table. It was very loud. We split an appetizer of crab and cheese melted on crusty bread that was very yummy. I got a cup of seafood... More

it's really not far out, just not where you'd expect it to be. this somewhat hidden gem is truly that A GEM, there is nothing bad here, seafood, steaks whatever you want. My family has been coming here for years & years. We were there one evening & the waitress told us they were working on a new dessert &... More

Met my family for lunch and they were disappointed. I recommended the crab cakes because it had always been delicious. We were both disappointed. My nephew loved the gumbo. The plates are very small and our server (great customer service) was honest about the portions being small. The menu says they offer free soup until it runs out but although... More

Based on a recommendation from a local business owner and after having read Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I were excited to visit Poor Boy’s. I was particularly looking forward to the crab dishes described on the restaurant’s website. We visited at around 6:30pm on a non-holiday Monday evening. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe and the ambiance is... More

Great atmosphere, loved the table set up, the location. Mary , our server did her best to serve us and accommodate our requests. We went on New Years Eve, we were told they were out of Crab Meat, I was a bit disappointed so I choose a shrimp dinner plate for approx. $28.00. I served it with a small ball... More

Had lunch here for my Mother's birthday. While she seemed to really enjoy her meal of crabmeat in butter, I was was slightly disappointed with my choices. We started by trying a new appetizer called crabbies, which was toasted bread with their crab stuffing on top. I found it to have a little to much butter. I ordered the oysters... More

I try to go to this restaurant anytime I am in Lafayette. The food is delicious! This time I had the crayfish platter, and it did not disappoint. The corn/crayfish chowder was delicious, as were all the other crayfish dishes. The servings are huge-you'll have a doggy bag.

I have eaten here several times. My favorites are the Corn & Crab Bisque, the Shrimp & Catfish Pirogue (best Cajun dish I have ever had, anywhere!) and the sweet potato beignets. The atmosphere is rustic and friendly.

This was my first visit to the restaurant to meet one of my vendors. After checking out the Yelp reviews, it appeared to be one of the better restaurants in the area. First of all, it is no the easiest spot to see. We were looking directly out it and did not realize it was the restaurant. Maybe it was... More
