Good

Food was OK, very basic Louisiana cuisine, I'd say. Good atmosphere. Some breakfast dishes have different names, but are the same food, basically. Excellent service. Brandon, our waiter, was delightful. Food served very quickly. Too pricey for what it is.

So yummy! Wonderful, authentic Creole Cajun food. I had breakfast here - highly recommend trying their biscuits and au gratin grits, so delicious. I also feel they compete for the best beignets in the state! If you're driving through, worth a stop.

Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. We are lunch here and we all enjoyed our meals. The gumbo and turtle soup are good items to try before getting to the entees. Service is a little slow

It was Saturday night 21Jun15 and my family and I were looking for somewhere to eat in Breaux Bridge. I remembered seeing an ad for Café des Amis. Fried green tomatoes with a delicious crabmeat sauce, pasta des amis with grilled shrimp, and the best coconut pie I have ever had. Beautiful intimate atmosphere for a couple or a gathering... More

We stopped by on our way to the swamp on a Saturday morning and were pleasantly surprised and treated to some of the best live Cajun music and dancing and family dancing that I have ever heard or seen... If you are in the area, stop by. You wont regret it!

My mom, sister and I have been told how wonderful this place is and that we must go, but to make sure to get there early as a line forms. Great, no problem, I checked the website, which hasn't been updated since April, and saw that they open at 7:30. We had booked a local swamp tour for 10:00 and... More

Having visited NOLA several times, we have come to expect good food in southern Louisiana, but if there is such a thing as Cajun gourmet, this is it. We immensely enjoyed our meal, and our very attentive and personable waiter, Jordan, was able to converse knowledgeably about the food, which gave the experience an extra dimension.

Saturday mornings there is a zydeco band playing and an extremely diverse crowd of locals and tourists dancing like crazy while breakfast is served. The band was great, the dancing was great, the wait staff were great. The food was good, not great, but that wasn't so important as everything else. The Bloody Mary I had was not quite strong... We heard how great this restaurant was, so we were all excited to stop by today and have lunch. When we got there we were seated right away, it was not very full for it being noon. But practically every table had dirty dishes on it that had not been picked up after the parties left. The waitress took our... More

We stopped here on the drive from New Orleans back to Texas. The crawfish étouffée was delicious. There was no muddy taste and the sauce was a little bit spicy, which I liked. The pecan crusted catfish was also excellent. Side orders of potato salad and okra were good, but the cornbread dressing was not at all like a traditional... More
