One dish marginally edible. Another slightly above average. Service was by two teens who must have been new on the job. Our experience certainly did not equal that of most other raters. But then......you're a tourist in Breaux Bridge.

Went on a Saturday early evening, great service! We tried the turtle soup, the alligator cheesecake was amazing, the duck was the best we had ever tasted and the fried green tomatoes.

I travel LA quite a bit and Breaux Bridge is always a favorite stop. It's a quaint town with antique shops and gift shops, and some typical southern hospitality. Cafe' Des Amis is not an exception! While I've been to the town quite a few times, I've never tried this café. We were on a weekend trip staying at a... More

Turned off of I-10 on the recommendation of my AAA tour book. From the moment we walked into this quaint restaurant we felt welcomed and at home. Had a great Sunday breakfast. The Crawfish cornbread was delicious as well as the seafood gumbo. Wishing we had been on the road the day before to be able to catch the zydeco... More

We stopped in to sample some recommended dishes, all of which were good. The server was very personable and helpful and made some good recommendations.

Our first visit to Cafe des Amis was in the early 90s. The restaurant was new, owners so enthusiastic about their special corner of the world. The food reflected it. Over the years we have had two huge parties..my 45th and my husband's 60th. Cafe des Amis is part of our soul...the food, music, people all have made our life... More

Didn't get to stop in for the zydeco breakfast, but did make it for a good lunch. I got the crawfish pie and was absolutely full before I could finish. Service was fair, but a little slow on refills. Overall it was a pretty good visit.

Sis and I had lunch at the Cafe' Des Amis and our experience was wonderful, do in part by our charming waiter "Jordan". He was so gracious and friendly, he made us feel right at home and we felt like we've known him forever. We ordered off the appetizer menu, fried shrimp and catfish. When Jordan arrived with our order,... More

Stopped off at Cafe' Des Amis for the third time while traveling down I-10. We were there two years ago and wrote a review. Some people don't give it a good rating and I don't know why. I love this place. The crawfish etouffee is outstanding (although they changed up the menu some). The people have always been very nice.... More

Saturday morning at this establishment is something to behold. People of all ages dancing to the earsplittingy sounds of a fantastic Zydeco band whilst drinking mimosas or bloody Mary's. Loved the band , loved the cafe - breakfast was v. good too, but the main thing was just how cool the people were, in a totally unhipster kind of way.
