Beaux Bridge touts itself as the Crawfish Capitol of the World but we found a great small town from which to experience the beauty and charm of Cajun Country. Starting out with a stay at the historic B&B Maison de Amis which backs up to the murky Bayou Teche and is just around the corner from this very cool bar... More

Very slow, food was cold, the lump crab cakes were not cooked through and still cold in the center. Avoid and go somewhere good.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. I was surprised at that since there were 10 empty tables, about three quarters of the restaurant. I felt that the server was very annoyed that we chose to wait. We sat at the bar and and another server asked if we needed something... More

Here I was, thinking I’d discovered a hidden gem, only to find 309 reviews posted before mine. How other people found this place, I’m not sure. It’s in the small town of Breaux Bridge, about 5 miles east of Lafayette and a couple miles south of I-10, basically in the middle of swamp country. We stumbled upon it by accident... More

Went here in March 2014 and we have been back twice since! Live zydeco music with great food and alcoholic beverages on Saturdays. Definitely recommend.

We went out of our way to go to this restaurant. So glad we did.The restaurant is in a quaint town and has a great atmosphere. The food is awesome. Possibly the best Cajun food that I had on this trip. We stopped on the way to New Orleans and stopped again on our way back. Staff were friendly and... More

Nice place, a bit overpriced (20 dollars for 2 desserts) for what we had, but good experience. In downtown.

cant really add much to previous posts just to reiterate that this is a very atmospheric place to eat, good food, and good service. A totally different experience to what you would get from a chain restaurant. Highly recommended for a real taste of Cajun culture

We brought friends from Australia, first time to US, first time for Cajun food. Cafe Des Amis did not disappoint. I believe we tried every appetizer and finished with an Abita Root Beer Float. Taylor, our server went to bat for us when we realized we were too late for Beignets. How can you experience Louisiana without trying beignets so... More
