Great treat!

It was a wonderful treat for a Sunday morning with my parents. Food was great, quick service, and great service. We can't wait to come in on a Saturday morning when all the fun starts.

From the moment I was told about Café des Amis I knew that we'd make a special trip there on our recent road trip to Cajun country. Although our visit didn't fall on a Saturday to enjoy their legendary Zydeco breakfast, we still enjoyed our meal on a quiet Tuesday morning. Jordan is excellent. He was quintessentially Louisianne...friendly, courteous, and... More

The Zydeco breakfast here is a national treasure. You sit at communal tables facing a dance floor and band. Whether you love Zydeco music or know nothing about it,(like us) this place is a blast. The music is great, the people on the dance floor ranged from 20-85 and the feeling was friendly and communal. You don't go for the... More

We stopped in on a weekday for breakfast during a South Louisiana motorcycle ride. We were the only patrons, but the staff treated us like royalty. Food was delicious, and service was outstanding.

We recently stopped for lunch while shopping Beaux Bridge - wide selection on the menu - friendly staff. Our waiter Jordan offered several suggestions - I had the turtle soup - filled with turtle meat - yummm. My girlfriend had the shrimp & okra gumbo - savory and not too spicy. I chose the BBQ shrimp with a side salad.... More

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. All of our food was Excellent. We had turtle soup, gumbo, crawfish etouffe, fried shrimp (best I've ever had!), and pasta with vegetables. We also took pecan pie and bread pudding to go. I am trying to figure out how to return (we live about 2hrs away).

The band is great and loud . The wait outside the un open restaurant started at 7 am on a chilly morn .and 6 people were already there in line . What was aggravating was while us commoners were waiting out in the cold the elite club were somehow going to the BACK door ,getting seated and being served coffee... More

The reviews for this restaurant being excellent, I really hoped for a better experience. There were only 4 people in the restaurant at 6:30 on a Thursday evening which seemed rather odd. The old building itself had nice ambiance, but the bread dish at my place setting was not clean (or perhaps stained). Service was adequate, but with only 4... More

We had a very nice crawfish salad here. Liked the decor and the food. Would like to come back for the music.
