This was a real disappointment. We'd called ahead that morning to confirm opening times for Cafe des Amis and been assured it was open 'til 9pm. Turned up at 7.30pm and it was all shut up and no sign of life. A real pity since we had been looking forward to it. If you're making a journey, check just before... More

The place is Cajun the munite you walk through the front door your transposed to the days gone by. The bar is always open and the people are very friendly. Great service and the food was very very good, eat gumbo and bread pudding

Had breakfast there during a candidates meeting with town leaders a few tables away. Rather than being annoyed, it was like we were a part of a small town gathering. Great food and the beignets were to die for. We had them at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, but these were argueably better! Generous portions served with a smile.... More

My wife and I came here for brunch this morning. The food was great. The service was good and the atmosphere was South Louisiana. If you're in the area, stop in and try it.

There's a line to get into this place in the morning, that's when they have a local Zydeco band in to entertain folks. If you come for lunch there's no live music but you do get to look at this beautiful old feed store and eat some really inspired cooking.

What a great little restaurant for a true Cajun breakfast. Excellent food and good service. This is a place the locals of Breaux Bridge come for their morning day starter. You have to have Community Coffee to start, with its chicory flavor. Have a serving of beignets with your coffee before ordering crawfish etouffee.

While I'd hate to rate this restaurant unfavorablly based on one visit, I must say I was disappointed in the side dishes, not the taste or flavor; they were great. There was just so little of them, two or three bites. Still, the service and food were both great and definitely worth a repeat visit.

We stopped by for brunch on Saturday and WOW! The Zydeco Music and dancing was a blast. The omelette and cheese grits were great. It was crowded but we were seated almost immediately. Definitely worth the drive from Baton Rouge.

Hubby & I are on our way from DFW to NOLA. We ended up by passing Lafayette before we decided to stop and eat lunch. Boy, were we in luck! Trip Advisor Near Me Now found this lovely restaurant. Jordan gave us excellent service and the food was outstanding. We had a super flavorful BBQ shrimp appetizer served with amazing... More
