Really nice people and the food was tasty. It was fun to try various foods like boudin, crawfish and gator. If you want to really eat it and know how it actually tastes then get it grilled as opposed to deep fried since you can hardly tell the difference between one meat or the other once it is all battered.... Cracklins so fresh I had to wait for them to cool before I could eat them. Their fried chicken is as close to homemade I've ever found in a restaurant. Not fast food, so don't be in a hurry. It's worth the wait!

Not the cleanest place, but the service was good and the food was great. Seemed to be very popular with locals and return customers too.

I have been stopping here when passing through for about 20 years now. My normal order is the red beans and rice and crawfish balls but have had everything on the menu at one time or another. They are known for their fried chicken and there is a good reason for that. It is excellent. In fact everything they serve... More

Food was exceptional- we had the crawfish ettouffee, fried gator, and 3lbs boiled crawfish. Better than any I've had anywhere in Kansas. The service and atmosphere was great- only thing I disliked was the initial man at the counter seemed pretty impatient with our questions and deciding- we had never been there before so we wanted to make sure we... Passed through on my way to New Orleans and will be returning! Menu was unlimited with so many choices. There was five of us on the trip and everybody said what they ordered was the best--from the shrimp to the sausage po' boy. Definitely worth the wait

Had tons of wonderful food in NOLA. On my 8 hour trip home I decided I hadn't had enough. We stopped because the signs on the road listing food has all local names and I wanted authentic Cajun. I was not disappointed! We pulled in the tiny gas station/local store/restaurant because the parking lot was full. Upon arrival we saw... More

First let me start by saying this is a old country store type setting, so if you are looking for fine dining, this is not the place for you. The food was great! and staff were very friendly. My son order the alligator wings, with fried catfish, and I order chicken and sausage gumbo with potato salad, My husband order... More

Although this is not a fancy eating "setting", the food is awesome! The atmosphere is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Owned by some really great people! The shrimp po boys are awesome and so are the onion rings!
