Great cafeteria!

The prepared food section is to the right in the store, and there's a big seating area off behind it. We had crawfish etouffee (great!) and pork back bones, tender fall-off-the-bone meat with rice stuffing. Wow. A hearty, inexpensive lunch that makes you feel like a local.

Late lunch, crawfish étouffée was delicious and fish and shrimp was fries perfection. Also on a side note...the coleslaw (nothing else needs to be said about that)!

This is real Louisianna cooking. Everything we were looking for. Also, check out their meat and prepared foods for sale. Reasonable prices.

We ate here on a bus tour. Cafeteria style, large portions - entree with two sides. Reasonably priced. Lots of seating area. Fast service. You can do orders to go. Definitely a busy place at lunch time. Market had wonderful looking meats you could purchase to take home to cook. Several sausages, spices and sauces had the poche label on... More

Our hosts suggested Poche to grab a quick bite without having to drive into town. It is a cajun meat market with a small cafe - and pre-made food to go - great variety. We choose the spinach madeline (very spicy), mac 'n cheese, salad and chicken /sausage gumbo - huge portions. Good cajun dinner back at the B&B -... More

We had lunch here and we were not disappointed.. We had to take most of it home because we couldn't finish it. Everything is freshly made. We came in just before they closed for lunch and there was not as much to choose from, our fault. Next time we will come in earlier.

off the beaten path, but, well worth it. They don't let you leave hungry, large portions. Very good! Best crawfish fettuccine!

Looking for some delicious étouffée after disappointments in Baton Rouge...thank you, Poche Restaurant! You came through for me! The menu is limited but the portions enormous! Main dish comes with two sides. Étouffée, spicy, yum! Catfish, yum! Fried shrimp, yum! Potato salad was lightly mustard seasoned, cole slaw was crisp, baked beans sweet, fries crispy. The dirty rice (rice dressing)... More
