I've had many plate lunches in the last 25 years of my life of my life. But this place definitely has the best!!!!! When you get 1 plate to go, you get enough food for two people to eat on. If you get it to go you can feel the weight of these plates. Everything is hot and fresh. My... More

Not far off of I-10 and well worth it. Have full plate lunches everyday. Rabbit stew and crawfish étouffée on Tuesdays menu were both very good. Rabbit tasty and tender, étouffée perfectly spiced for a local (usually ppl not from the area don't want it very spicy). With a smokehouse and meat market on site, you can take home any... More

While road tripping from FL to CA we were looking for a suitable place to grab some Cajun food for lunch while passing through LA, and Poche's hit the spot. It's essentially a meat market / smokehouse with a dining room and home cooking in the back (no table service - you order at the counter). The folks were very... More

We stopped for lunch and had great cajun cooking. Friendly and fast service. Shrimp and fish were excellent. Our will plan our next visit for dinner, we will return.

Luckily, I only live a few miles away. The food is always fantastic and plentiful! I'm especially fond of the stuffed pork chops and the meatball stew.

Poche's was very close to where we were staying so we had lunch there and then bought food to take back for dinner. Huge variety of cajun foods - the boudin and the crawfish etouffee were quite good and the people working there were delightful. Be sure to buy some pecan pies - excellent!

Great hot lunches, fresh sausage and local specialty meats! Lots of local cajun specialties. Wide variety of items, great for grilling and place to eat inside if you go for a cajun lunch plate.

We stopped in for dinner but were told they had a private party so we couldn't sit in the dining area to eat. Instead we ordered some shrimp, catfish, boudin and crawfish etouffee to go and took it back to the hotel. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They gave us plenty of food. I wish we... Very friendly and interesting place. South LA Cajun market at its best! Very good. Tasty plate dinner at night at reasonable price. If you are in the Breaux Bridge area, please stop by. Well worth the stop! Also homemade pies and dishes to go. Just a great place to wander around and shop!

We made a detour on a recent trip to Houston just to go here. We found it last year and had to make another visit. If there's anything you need or want relating to good Louisiana food, you can find it here. The Sweet Dough pies are unique, but delicious - a spicy, almost cake- like dough filled with your... More
