We stopped in for dinner but were told they had a private party so we couldn't sit in the dining area to eat. Instead we ordered some shrimp, catfish, boudin and crawfish etouffee to go and took it back to the hotel. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They gave us plenty of food. I wish we... Very friendly and interesting place. South LA Cajun market at its best! Very good. Tasty plate dinner at night at reasonable price. If you are in the Breaux Bridge area, please stop by. Well worth the stop! Also homemade pies and dishes to go. Just a great place to wander around and shop!

We made a detour on a recent trip to Houston just to go here. We found it last year and had to make another visit. If there's anything you need or want relating to good Louisiana food, you can find it here. The Sweet Dough pies are unique, but delicious - a spicy, almost cake- like dough filled with your... More

Crunch in every bite! Catfish was fresh and tasty! We ate here twice and while waiting for our take out we met a local young lady she was so sweet and helpful and gave us some good local tips.

A huge variety of fresh meats: alligator sausage crawfish, Cajun pork, Tasso ham and many more cajun meats. An array of Cajun sauces, spices and rubs. Homemade doughnut pies and pralines. This place needs to be spotlighted on Food Network and Travel Channel.

Well worth the drive off the hiway! Traveling from Tx to NC, we were hungry and looking for a hole in the wall, non chain place to dine and stumbled upon Poche! Thankful that we did! Huge portions and at a great price. Always a recipe for success! Love the food and just ate our and listened to the local... More

Poche Market is close to Cajun Country Cottages where my sis and I stayed for 6 days. They serve a cafeteria style lunch but it's also a store and smoke house. We were there the day Crawfish Etouffee was being offered. Now I've had it in the best of restaurants in New Orleans but I must say, I never had... More

I can only echo the opinions of the other reviews that provided high marks for this place. We packed an ice chest with local meats so we could bring a taste of Louisiana home with us. There is also an RV park next door, I didn't stay in the park but it looked nice.

We've eaten at Poche's Restaurant a few times, and it is ALWAYS delicious. We are never disappointed. The portions are more than enough, always fresh. The staff are always nice and courteous. We'll definitely be back again and again.

This little market has excellent meat. We stayed at a B&B nearby and picked up marinated steaks, cole slaw, and fruit salad to go. The food was excellent! We did not try the restaurant, but will be happy to do so the next time we are in the area.
