Great food!

This place has great food. Everything we have had has been great. I love the fried chicken & fish. When we go we get enough food to feed an army because we can't decide what we want. I also buy the frozen boudin balls to cook at home.

So glad I read reviews and decided to give it a try....the seafood gumbo was amazing! My dad had the crawfish boudin balls and cracklin...loved them all! I had fried alligator and shrimp...all good!! Stopped next store for some coffee since I still have a few hours to drive to Houston....really good!! It's the original Cajun coffee!! There were a... More

This place is simple but awesome, so I'll keep the review short. I was driving back to Houston from a weekend in Baton Rouge. It was late on a Sunday morning and I needed something to keep me going. I noticed a number of cars pulling off I-10, so I followed suit and was glad I did. There was ample... More

Been eating here for 20 years. Today did not seem like the same place. Normally the shrimp are falling out of the poorboy there are so many and crispy crunchy. Today there were only enough to barely cover the bread. Although the bread was fresh, it was not toasted. So the sandwich was cold with warm shrimp...sad. Roast beef poorboy... More

The place was so busy, I was excited that finally I would have some decent crawfish in Louisiana, guess again! No flavor not even spicy, ugh. I also order their crawfish gumbo which was expensive considering the establishment, $10. Tasted like water mixed in with old crawfish and small salad shrimp, ridiculous. The worst 50 bucks of my life. I did... More

We've had the boudin and the past and its really good, but we just tried the fried chicken this weekend and it is excellent. Juicy, but not greasy. Not overcooked and not too much batter. Just right. It may look like a hole in the wall, but there is a reason its always packed.

Stop. Eat. Enjoy. Even if you've never tried boudin or didn't like it before, trust me when I say these cousins make the BEST boudin in Louisiana! Grab a link of gator and jalapeño boudin and a couple fried boudin balls then sit back and let your taste buds EXPLODE with happiness! Pay no never mind to the dozens of... More

I wanted boiled crawfish and they didn't have them. Only fried ones. They offered to boil me shrimp which I prefer to have fried. Wife ordered fried chicken with a biscuit. Chicken was moist and well prepared but wife would have preferred to go 1 block farther and get Popeyes spicy instead. I got a shrimp basket and it was... More

On our way to Lafayette from New Orleans, we decided to take the exit for a place called Boudin and Cracklins based on a billboard we saw on Highway 10 westbound. After exiting, we saw a gas station with a restaurant named The Boudin Shop. As we needed gas for our rental car, we thought about our good fortune as... More

I was there and ordered cooked Boudin Balls, got my order. As I'm headed back to Houston, I'm eating the Boudin Balls and a long string of hair is in the Boudin. Disgusting. I call back and speak to the Manager to tell him the story and the only thing he could say was, "This happens" I will never stop... More
