We came looking for two things: cajun music and crawfish. We found both and both were excellent. The crawfish were enormous. Truly huge. And excellently boiled with a good, if quite salty seasoning mix. The night we stopped in there was a four piece cajun band singing traditional mostly french songs. They were also excellent and we enjoyed the music,... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat that had Cajun food and not part of a chain. The food here was very good. My only wish is that instead of the French bread they serve with the meals, they would serve the meals with hush puppies. We were too early for the Cajun music but have... More

If you are looking for a nice standard Cajun menu, delivered quickly with an option for dancing to great live music, you'll want to be sure to stop here. I haven't been here since it was a Mulate's location, and though much is still the same, it seems they may have improved this a bit since those days. We had... More

Wonderful people, wonderful music, great place to dance and have fun. The heart of Cajun Country and the Crawfish Festival. Food is okay but is secondary to the music.

Years ago we stopped here when it was known as mutates and had a good meal and enjoyed getting off the beaten path of I10 on our way home from Jazz Fest in New Orleans so we decided to stop there again. Boy had things changed!!! The business had been renamed, food was bland & uninspired, no Cajun flavor at... More

We came for the crawfish festival and it got a little too crowed so we left to find a place to eat and dance. We got lucky! The Music was fantastic and the food was good too. Kara Viator was playing that night and she was great.

This was defiantly a strange place to us from the UK. But a fun place if you are looking to try local foods. The food was a lot too fried for my taste and you got your share of filler eg rice, potatoes and bread! Which is a cheap way to fill people up! But I managed to mix and... More

Ate here two nights in a row, once with friends & once with a tour group. Loved the live Cajun music both nights, but disappointed in the food being just average. I had filet mignon the first night. It was tender, but too dry for being cooked "medium". My husband liked his chopped beef steak, but $15.99 seems kind of... More

This is a fantastic venue for Cajun music and dancing. The music is not loud and you can hear every instrument. That in itself is worth the trip. The food is very, very good. The atmosphere is what one would expect of this type of venue. If you can get Marie for your wait person you are in for a... More

It was hard to find - as it's not on 325 mills as my gps had it - instead we had to ask for directions at the bank which was listed as 325 mills on our gps. It is an awesome place to chow down, the etoufee is to die for! I loved the IPA - but I would recommend... More
