After seeing the parking lot dwindle down to just an accasional car, I figured everyone else was finally catching on. This place closed and now, with a spattering of purple & gold paint, is open under the name "Tiger Zone". Don't know if I'll try it yet or not.

Chicken and dumplings are my favorite. They are the best in the city. Sit at the bar at lunchtime.

We've always gone to Darrell's to eat breakfast. Funny thing - there was always this same group in there every Saturday morning. Not there this time. The food was fine but the atmosphere was a little different. Our waitress was very nice.

Chicken and dumplings are always to be counted on. Water cornbread as well as traditional.

The Cotton Bowl got some bad reviews until the new owner became hands on and implemented quality in all areas, and I love the nostalgic photos of the area - brings back a lot of memories. The new attitude also became better tasting. Thumbs up!

No way this could be any way related to the original Cotton Boll in Shreveport...Service was horrible, my spoon had what looked like old egg dried & crusted on it, food was mediocre (and cold)...We will NOT gfo back

I love this place. It is a typical southern diner comparable to Southfield Grill in Shreveport. They have good breakfast and lunch with vegetables. It obviously isn't a fine dining experience, but doesn't claim to be.

Being a big fan of the origional restaurant on Fairfield, I was extremely excited when I discovered they had taken over the old Darrells Restaurant on Airline in Bossier City. I had breakfast the second day that they were open--it was very average at best--I chalked it up to being new and trying to get organized. I stopped for lunch... More
