Declining

The catfish of the past was very good, but lately the taste and quality has declined, as has the service. It used to be a good place to go for a quick, casual, tasty meal is not that anymore. I won't return.

They have the best catfish dinners in town. The meals are huge and very affordable for one and all. The Senior meals are very filling and you usually have enough left over for a meal to go especially with the regular menu items. They have a very fresh salad bar and an ice cream bar also. Don't forget to check... More

This restaurant was across the street from our hotel, so we gave it a try. I had the onion rings and gumbo. Both were very good at a great price. Others in our party ate off the senior menu and were also pleased with the food and the price. We would go back.

I have going to this restaurant for many years. In the past it was pretty decent catfish (the main staple on the menu) but recently both the quality of the food and service has declined significantly. The fish pieces seem smaller, therefore they are overcooked and the service is poor at best. Salad bar is weak as well and the... More

We have noticed a decline in business at this restaurant and a decline in the service as well. We ordered two of their Cajun style regular plates. Both came with 5 pieces of fish, but two were needed to make up the size of one of their pieces of fish in the past. Must be their way of cutting back.... More

Cold, greasy fish, very nasty dining area, plenty of insects. Service was of the "I don't care if it's bad" attitude. My advice: Go to Crawdaddy's Kitchen in Shreveport or even Kim's seafood in Bossier for much better fish.

We just went there, Village Lane, Bossiery City, LA, Saturday per some friends recommendation. It's never a good sign when the window approaching the entrance has dead bugs in it, then the window just inside the door had dead bugs and a spider web as well. So we sat down, the salad bar wasn't much...lettuce, cheese and a few other... More

The Catfish King was a very average good ole restaurant. From the atmosphere to the food it was all very average. We did have a great waitress, the food was quick, and the price was good.
